Horror in the Forest (2023)
Wow!
If you like indie films I highly suggest following this studio. Their movies get better and better with each production and this is by far their best yet! The main characters were played by very talented actors. The emotions in the parents' scenes felt real and raw. The plot kept me in suspense and the anticipation was great. The jump scares were awesome and the setting was beautiful and spooky.
The only critique I have is that there are some cuts in the scenes that take away from the "found footage" vibes. Other than that I really liked it! Good work!
I can't wait to see what they put out next.
The Haunting of the Murder House (2022)
I've been waiting for this one!
This was a really good movie! It had a lot of suspense, a super creepy villain and some awesome gore scenes. I would say it's the best movie from this studio yet, followed VERY closely by Girl in Cabin 13, which is also a great movie! I would definitely recommend. Great for scary movie night.
The Devil in the Room (2020)
Don't go to sleep!
Loved this movie! If you like indie films and being scared by the realm between sleep and wake, this one's for you! This was really well done and had some awesome scares. It also has one of my favorite movie demons! I wish they'd given more backstory and lore on him, I'd love to know his story.
The Haunting of the Morgan Estate (2020)
9/10
This is a great suspenseful and scary mystery movie! A politician and his girlfriend go for a weekend getaway. While there, she meets the mysterious and ominous maintenance man and some unsettling information about a missing girl. She goes on to do some investigating on her own. This movie will keep you wondering what happens next!
Into the Forest (2019)
Found footage
This movie is great if you like found footage and indie films! There is some good scares and really creepy scenes, and the twist at the end was great!
The Haunting of the Suicide House (2019)
Great spin on a classic haunting!
I really liked this movie because it adds a modern twist to a classic haunt story. This is about paranormal YouTubers that spend a couple days in a haunted house for content. Not many horror films add new concepts like social media and I think it makes it more realistic in this day and age!
The Whitlow House (2018)
Loved it!
I really appreciate that this movie used a more original concept for an indie horror! This is about a couple that purchase a house with the intention of turning into a year round haunted house. They chose a house with a checkered past to add to the horror vibes so you can guess what kind of weird stuff starts happening!
The Unseen (2017)
So good!
This is a really creepy "Who is in my house" type of movie! There were a couple good jump scares but for the most part the suspense and unsettling vibe carried on throughout the film. I'd definitely recommend for a spooky movie night!
The Invited (2017)
The start of something great!
If you're a fan of DBS films, I recommend starting with this one! It's got a very interesting plot with a couple of twists. I really enjoyed the cult storyline and I'm excited to see what they do with this film in the future now that they have more experience! If you like indie films, definitely give this one a shot as well as their other ones.
Gone (2017)
Suspense!
This was a really cool little indie short. A man goes back to his childhood cabin to spread his fathers ashes and ends up stuck there with something lurking in the woods. I'd love to see this made into a series or a full length film! It was very suspenseful with some twists added in too!
The Girl in Cabin 13: A Psychological Horror (2021)
Classic killer in the woods movie!
This is a great indie film!
I really like the vibe of this movie. If you like Hush, this is very similar. The 3 masked men are super bold and unrelenting unlike typical horror movies where they are hiding in the shadows before jumping out. This is a classic style horror film with a modern twist with the main character being an instagram influencer. I really enjoyed it!
