Painful
13 March 2023
I'm a die hard Jeepers Creepers fan, maybe even a little obsessed. I go through phases where I watch 1 and 2 multiple times in a week. I actually paid to see this with Redbox before they put it up on Hulu as a treat to myself for my new year's movie and it just freaking hurt to watch. The acting was terrible. The plot was terrible. And the costumes... wow. People aside, the creeper looked like he was literally dressed in a rubber suit. These people were just running away from a man in a weird fish/dragon/gargoyle rubber suit. God awful. I hate to say this but please just let it die. Don't make anymore movies. Just let me rot with my part one and two and occasional three just long enough for me to remember not to watch it. Good riddance.

We Want The Girl

I watch a LOT of horror, including b-horror and I'm just gonna say... Eh, I've seen worse. Far worse, actually. The acting wasn't very good. The dialogue was bad but I saw potential. They could have improved it by working on their timing and maybe using more natural or varying phrases, because the two main actors seemed like they were one dimensional and on two completely different planets instead of conversing with one another like friends or lovers. The music was straight up awful, and the WORST part of this movie was their filming. It was like they filmed it with a Walmart camcorder. They could have used an iPhone and filmed something higher quality. Seriously, check out the movie Unsane and you'll see what I mean since that movie was filmed entirely on an iPhone. Overall, not the worst because I somewhat liked the plot but basically the worst.

It Had It's Moments

While I'd consider myself a horror enthusiast, I'm personally not a huge science-fiction fan. However, seeing this was a must because Jordan Peele is an incredibly talented director and I was certain it would be gold despite the fact that it isn't my typical genre.

The cinematography was excellent, and my partner (who absolutely loves movies but does not care for the horror genre) loved the movie. I was actually surprised by how much he loved it. Somehow, however, I wasn't terribly impressed. Daniel Kaluuya was phenomenal as always, in fact, this was probably his best work in my opinion. Like Palmer also did a great job of making a quite likable character. In fact, now that I think of it, the whole cast was extremely likable and the movie did a great job of establishing a sense of dread especially in the horse scenes. Overall, it just wasn't my taste though still an excellent film for the genre.

Binge Worthy, but Not Without Cringe

I recently discovered this show on a random Samsung TV channel while searching for something for my TV to default to when my Playstation inevitable turns off at night. I found myself hooked even when all I was doing was reading the subtitles with no sound, and I ended up going out of my way to watch all of the episodes on Hulu.

I definitely understand now how Gordon Ramsay has gained so much popularity over the years. He is harming, yet firm and direct. He does not sugar-coat, yet gives credit where it's due. I will say he's a bit eccentric with the way he is fascinated by digging his fingers in rotten food and smelling it.

I love looking up to see if a restaurant failed or ended up succeeding after the show, but unfortunately it looks like they have about a 95% fail rate. That of course, is not due to the show, but often they had a very slim chance of survival before even contacting the show due to poor management of finance, business, and product.

The only reason I didn't give this show a ten was because it did seem a bit repetitive at times and sometimes the designers did an awful job at styling the restaurants. Otherwise, this show was great and totally not a waste of 100 hours of my life. :)
