Fortnite: Chapter 5 (2023 Video Game)

The worst chapter
14 March 2024
In 2021, with two incredible chapters, we were waiting for Fortnite: Chapter 3 to release and hoped it would be great. However, Chapter 3 failed to impress us and some people called it the "worst chapter".

In Chapter 4 though, Fortnite gave a great comeback and impressed me very much. OG Fortnite was Fortnite at its peak, and I loved how the chapter ended. We didn't see a live event in years before this.

Then came this. I don't understand the point of adding Rocket Racing, LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite Festival, as they had nothing to do with the game whatsoever.

Peter Griffin had no point coming into Fortnite as well, and I have to wait 1 hour before getting into the game because of these stupid queues! I also missed half the live event!!! In season 2 which recently came out, absolutely nothing changed, and yet so many people were hyping it up as if it's going to change the history of the world.

If you think chapter 3 is the worst chapter, play chapter 5. What a bunch of crap.

Different, but not good
10 March 2024
While the story is interesting, the slow-paced screenplay, particularly in the first half, could have been better-paced. The director should have paid more attention to maintaining the momentum throughout.

Certain visuals captured in the Himalayas are breathtaking, complemented by top-notch music that enhances many scenes, thanks to the talented technical team behind these aspects.

Scenes involving the experiments could have been presented more dynamically to increase the film's dramatic impact. Additionally, the revelation of twists and the subsequent climax scenes could have been executed more effectively to elevate the film's overall quality.

While the film has a good story and good visuals, it has not been executed properly and fails to engage the audience with its slow narration.

Passable first half, rushed second half
19 February 2024
Ooru Peru Bhairavakona goes wrong in many aspects. The first and foremost thing is the love track upon which the entire movie revolves. There are not enough scenes between Sundeep Kishan and Varsha Bollamma, making it tough to connect to their emotion. The key scene/twist reveal in the second half featuring the lead pair should have been emotional and shocking, but the presentation here made it inconsequential. There are two chartbuster songs, but they don't add much value to the proceedings due to their placement.

Multiple genres are incorporated into the film, but enough justice isn't done regarding execution. From the opening scene, the director tried to project that there was some mystery behind Bhairavakona, but the suspense was not built properly. The stakes were never high, so we would hardly be interested in knowing the enigma surrounding Bhairavakona.

The fun moments in the first half are passable, but the actual story is brought in during the halfway mark. The interval episode is neat, but as the staging of scenes and world-building aren't done well, the impact is minimal. There are no high moments or thrills in both the halves. There are some really good, fun moments, but the movie somewhat disappoints on the whole due to a lack of emotional depth and flat narration.

Everything regarding the second half looks very rushed, and one would get a feeling that the movie ended abruptly. The heroine's backstory is a beaten-to-death concept, and the makers tried to blend it with fantasy, comedy, horror, and suspense elements, but these elements look somewhat contrived.

Eagle (2024)
1/10
Attack on audience
14 February 2024
"Eagle" is merely another derivative of the several contemporary action thrillers that have emerged in Indian cinema, drawing inspiration from the "KGF" film series.

The majority of contemporary directors have transformed into what may be described as "buildup babais," to borrow a phrase from the comedy show "Jabardasth." This implies that they channel their creative efforts towards crafting written or filmed sequences that elevate the hero's character. Every scene is set up to highlight heroism.

The whole stretch of the first half of the film tests our patience as it is a series of many "buildup" sequences than nothing else. It becomes redundant and tedious after a point.

The second half was no better, but it does reveal Sahadev's true story and flashbacks.

Overall, the movie is very boring. We are still waiting for Ravi Teja to get a good and entertaining film for once. Even though Krack and Dhamaka were hits, they still were not that entertaining for me. Pls do not watch this film 🙏

Mass > Story
17 January 2024
The film's storyline lacks novelty for Telugu audiences, and the screenplay, managed by director Vijay Binni himself, could have been handled more effectively.

Characters played by Raj Tarun, Shabeer, and Rukshar Dhillon could have been developed further. Despite Vijay Binni's neat direction, a more fast-paced screenplay could have elevated the overall impact. Prasanna Kumar's involvement could have infused more heartwarming emotional scenes, particularly in the second half.

The emotional bond between Allari Naresh and Nagarjuna could have been better portrayed in the first half, influencing scenes in the latter half to provide enhanced entertainment for audiences.

Overall, the movie could have been better as they mainly focused on nagarjuna mass than the actual story of the movie.

Saindhav (2024)
1/10
Not worth watching
16 January 2024
Though the idea of Saindhav is good and has a lot of potential, the director couldn't come up with an interesting narrative. The screenplay is flat for the most part. The world-building isn't done well, and the first half an hour is slow and unexciting. Fights were too violent.

Saindhav has a bunch of great actors, but none of them make any impact due to the way their characterizations are written. Andrea Jeremiah, Shraddha Srinath, Ruhani Sharma, Jisshu Sengupta, Arya, Mukesh Rishi, and Jayaprakash deserved much better roles. There are logical errors in the story as well.

For any action film, the background score is very vital in enhancing the impact. Unfortunately, the background score provided by Santosh Narayanan is pretty bad and hardly adds any value to the film. In fact, the impact of neatly designed action blocks was brought down with the background score. In a few important moments, it was almost non-existent.

Mahesh Babu Captivates In This Mixed-Bag Action-Drama
13 January 2024
Trivikram's attempt to blend family drama with commercial elements results in a garbage narrative, failing to excel as either an emotional drama or a full-fledged entertainer. The dialogues are a mixed bag, some impactful while others miss the mark.

S Thaman's music and background score mirrors the film's inconsistency. Whether it's an intended effect or some issue with the sound mixing, the output sounded a bit uneven. Cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa leaves an impressive mark with his camera work, especially with those continuous follow-through shots. But the overall output needed better editing.

In conclusion, I don't think that you should go to this movie as it had potential however it turned out very bad.

Peddha Kapu 1 (2023)
1/10
A tedious depiction of the rise of common man
2 October 2023
Peddha Kapu is packed with multiple subplots and several potentially interesting characters.

However, as Peddha Kapu progresses, it gets voyeuristic in its portrayal of violence. Limbs are axed at will and heads are chopped. The film is rated A (meant for adult viewing) and the makers do not hold back in the brutal bloodbath. The violence per se is not the problem, but the mind-numbing manner in which it is portrayed.

Several characters that initially spark interest are eventually lost in the melee - Tanikella Bharani as the village elder who has grown cynical with time, Brigada Saga who looks out for Pragathi Srivastava's character like a protective older sister, and Nagababu, who hopes that the tide will change. A fine actor like Easwari Rao is made to utter dialogues in a shrill tone throughout. Pragathi does not get much. In some scenes, her lip sync does not match the lengthy lines she speaks.

By the time a crucial character behind the shadows is revealed and things come to speed, it feels like one has endured way too much to want to watch the second part, which intends to showcase the rise of the common man to a leader.

Chiranjeevi's stardom doesn't help this stale, unimaginative tale
12 August 2023
Watching the Telugu movie Bhola Shankar, headlined by Chiranjeevi and directed by Meher Ramesh, is like going back in time by a few decades but not in a good way. The film repackages outdated, formulaic tropes and presents them with the confidence that star presence - Chiranjeevi, Tamannaah Bhatia and Keerthy Suresh - is enough to salvage a listless narrative. Meher Ramesh, credited with 'story development', adapts an eight-year-old Tamil film Vedalam starring Ajith, which was no great shakes either. What unravels is a cocktail of a sappy brother-sister bond, cardboard-ish villain characters, a leading lady who is supposed to contribute to absurd fun and comes across as utterly silly, a lot of tasteless humour and loud, forgetful music.

Bro (I) (2023)
BRO Movie Review - An Average film
28 July 2023
BRO film has been adapted from a Tamil film called 'Vinodhaya Sitham'. Directed by the same director Samuthirakani, who handled the original, this Telugu film 'BRO' outcome is a mixed bag. To improvise the film on the commercial front, the Telugu version team has overly dependent on power star pawan kalyan's charismatic past. The writing team has compiled all Pawan Kalyan hit songs, and inserted them throughout the film sometimes perfectly syncs with the context, sometimes forcibly. In the first half the theme worked out and appeared entertaining. Pawan Kalyan as TIME shows up in various characters and entertains fans. His costumes and histrionics are of his top-class form. The subtle political flavor dialogues are smartly embedded without being out of place.

Positives:

Pawan Kalyan Screen Presence Pawan Hit Songs as a backdrop to a few scenes.

Entertainment in the First half Crisp Run Time

Negatives :

Shallow story Overstuffed fans elements The original story lost its flavor.

Waltair Veerayya: A Disappointing Action Flick
19 June 2023
"Waltair Veerayya" is an action-packed film that brings together an ensemble cast including Chiranjeevi, Ravi Teja, Shruti Hassan, and Prakash Raj. However, despite its star power, the movie falls flat in several aspects, making it a disappointing watch for fans of the genre.

One of the most glaring issues with "Waltair Veerayya" is the fight scenes, which are cringe-worthy and lack any sense of gravity or realism. The choreography feels over-the-top and cartoonish, with exaggerated movements and unrealistic stunts that strain the viewer's suspension of disbelief. The action sequences fail to generate excitement or engage the audience, ultimately becoming a distraction from the overall plot.

Another notable drawback is the casting and portrayal of Chiranjeevi's character. While it is commendable that he continues to act in lead roles at nearly 70 years old, the film does a disservice by portraying him as a youthful hero in his mid-twenties. This unrealistic depiction not only strains credibility but also undermines the integrity of the story. It would have been more appropriate to leverage Chiranjeevi's experience and age to craft a character that reflects his actual persona.

The screenplay of "Waltair Veerayya" lacks depth and fails to offer a compelling narrative. The characters feel underdeveloped and one-dimensional, with minimal growth or emotional arcs. Despite the talented cast, their performances are hindered by the weak writing, leaving little room for them to shine or showcase their full potential.

Additionally, the film suffers from pacing issues. Certain scenes seem dragged out, while others feel rushed and lack proper exposition. This uneven pacing disrupts the flow of the story and hampers the overall viewing experience.

Furthermore, the film fails to provide a coherent and engaging plot. The storyline lacks originality and relies heavily on tired clichés and predictable tropes commonly found in the action genre. The lack of innovation or fresh ideas prevents "Waltair Veerayya" from standing out in a crowded landscape of similar films.

In conclusion, "Waltair Veerayya" is a disappointing action flick that misses the mark in several key areas. The cringe-worthy fight scenes and unrealistic portrayal of Chiranjeevi's character contribute to the film's overall lack of credibility. The weak screenplay, underdeveloped characters, and pacing issues further detract from the viewing experience. For fans seeking an engaging and well-crafted action film, "Waltair Veerayya" fails to deliver on its potential, ultimately leaving audiences unsatisfied.

Adipurush: A Disappointing and Misguided Interpretation
18 June 2023
Director Om Raut's highly anticipated film "Adipurush" promised to be a grand retelling of the epic Ramayan with a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, and Devdutta Nage. However, upon watching the film, it becomes evident that it falls far short of expectations and fails to deliver a satisfying cinematic experience.

One of the most glaring issues with "Adipurush" is its visual presentation. Despite being a live-action film, it often feels like a poorly executed animated movie. The special effects and CGI work are subpar, resulting in unrealistic and unconvincing visual sequences. This lackluster visual quality is particularly disappointing considering the film's large budget and the potential for stunning visuals within the context of the Ramayan.

Another significant flaw lies in how the film handles the sacred story of the Ramayan. "Adipurush" takes unnecessary liberties with the source material, deviating from the essence and integrity of the epic. The film's screenplay and characterizations fail to capture the depth and complexity of the original tale, resulting in a shallow and superficial interpretation. The narrative lacks the emotional resonance and spiritual depth that make the Ramayan such a timeless and revered story.

Furthermore, the performances of the lead actors, despite their talent, fail to make a lasting impression. Prabhas, known for his charismatic presence, feels miscast as Lord Ram, lacking the gravitas and spiritual aura that the character demands. Kriti Sanon's portrayal of Sita lacks depth and fails to capture the strength and resilience of the iconic character. Saif Ali Khan's performance as Ravana, though initially promising, falls victim to weak writing and fails to elevate the character beyond a one-dimensional villain.

The pacing of "Adipurush" is uneven, with certain scenes dragging on for too long while others feel rushed and underdeveloped. The lack of cohesive storytelling and the absence of emotional resonance make it difficult to stay engaged throughout the film's runtime.

In conclusion, "Adipurush" is a disappointing cinematic experience that fails to do justice to the epic Ramayan. The film's subpar visual effects, misguided interpretation of the source material, and lackluster performances contribute to its overall lack of impact. Fans of the Ramayan and those expecting a grand and faithful adaptation will find themselves sorely let down by this underwhelming rendition.

Very violent and the story doesn't make sense, the worst movie I have ever seen in my life
11 June 2023
I think that Nani should have stuck with comedy when it came to his 25th film, because I can't express in words how bad this is.

The story is that there is a serial killer (played by Nani) and he brutally kills people and stuffs gold in their mouth. Then, there is a huge police officer who tries and tracks him down. At least, that's what I understood of the story. The rest is just extreme violence and unnecessary songs.

Nivetha Thomas and Aditi Rao Hydari were like cameo appearances. They were there for 20mins max.

I also skipped all the songs and 5-6 scenes in the movie because they were cringe and not needed.

Overall, the worst movie I have ever seen, and I would highly recommend you to not see it.

Best movie of Sai Dharam Tej
11 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I normally don't watch horror movies but I decided to watch this one and it ended up being great.

Story is that there is one village and in that village, some mysterious deaths occur. They find out that one person is dying after seeing another person die. And next in line is Nandini, his girlfriend. However, he finds out that Nandini is actually the sister of Bhairava, who is controlling the deaths. At the end of the movie, he kills Nandini and cries.

Story was good and the songs came at the right time as well. Very nice direction by Karthik Varma Dandu, who is also known for making Nikhil Siddharth popular by Karthikeya movie.
