Hi bones booth!

One of my favorite episodes!!! I like to suspend some reality for tv land to enjoy unrealistic episodes and in bones this is one of them that I easily do that for. Being from MN I love a good Wintery episode lol. Plus I think black outs / loss of power are always fun tropey episodes with tons of character development (hart of Dixie&Friends had good ones!)

I love the importance of the seats to booth. Love them being stuck in the elevator. Love sweets trying to help them! I love the way bones dismisses sweets politely when booth is upset. I love that the show is trying to make b &b address their relationship and how they kiiiiind of talk about things instead of dancing around it completely. They are navigating new waters for sure. But it's undeniable that they want to spend time together!

Sucks we get mini PTSD thinking about the thought of a contagious person wondering around starting a pandemic.. always such a weird thing to watch in tv land thinking how that USED to seem so unrealistic...... and now look at us lol.

Of course I love all the scenes in the lab - this almost feels like a bottle episode for a little bit. Love hodgins and Wendell together. Sad and hopefully for the hodgins family and baby... love him and Angela supporting each other.

Also love Cams haircut! All the women in this episode look so beautiful!

Forgot their was a case this episode I'm sure it was great LOL.

I always love this episode. I think it does a good job of making sure we remember booth is sad / cranky about the Hannah stuff so it doesn't just move on like that never happened. I think the case itself is pretty decent - love the twist of the affair and then EXTRA LOVE bones "acting". I like when she said "who do I get to be" it sounded like she was so excited LOL. I also love when she breaks character saying "I was good" after he confesses. That scene alone I love!

Love everyone's little Valentine's Day stories and what they are all doing. I think hodgins gift was anticlimactic though for dragging us through the other bad gifts lol.

I love bones showing up to the gun range with the rifles.. but I know it's been mentioned before, both never had protective eyewear or anything on and in this scene we even see bones putting on hers! But I love how the ending scene is sweet and doesn't jump back in to too much tension right away with those 2.

Ok if you allow yourself to look at this episode without all of the logic of how things really work and just accept it as a tv land episode it is SO enjoyable!

We know this isn't really bones in her normal character but it also leads itself to conclude that she is grappling with the understanding of her feelings and possibly making a big change by expressing those feelings. The whole car scene at the end CRUSHES me every single time. It's such good acting by both of them. You can tell booth looks crushed to have her hurting but he remains a faithful honest person to his current girlfriend which obviously we are all rooting for b & b but I also like him being a respectful person to Hannah - even clarifying she's not just a concelation.

I love the filing of this episode - so dark and eeery. Emily literally does SO amazing at displaying all her emotions in this episode. You really feel it's almost her pov the entire time.

Love the scene when Hannah says "I don't like when you two fight" lol. I also like the part when booth is like "ya I already know they aren't going to like this, we're bringing the whole tree back"!

Such a cool episode and I really really enjoy all of it even though it makes me feel all types of anxiety for bones the entire time!

It's heart breaking knowing she now has to live with acknowledging her feelings but obviously not getting to act on them.

PS I love Micah in this episode too! And obviously the case in itself is more about the parallels than anything else - not the best ending "killer" wise but that never bothers me in this one!

Again, this might be a hot take but I love daisey!!!! Mainly because I think if I was in their world I would be a "daisey". But I love her interaction with hodgins I think they have really great chemistry on screen together even as Platonic characters. Love the king of the lab / your highness bit.

I also love her and sweets interaction regarding the exam questions... that whole scene is so funny to me every time.

I think sweets also does a great job in this episode interviewing the teacher. Their whole second scene together is really good. I like when he tells her she really is not a good teacher because I feel like it emphasizes how wrong that scenario is and does NOT glorify it. On the flip side of that I find it kind of cringy when bones makes a comment about wanting to appeal to the teenage boy - I feel that dialogue should have been cut and left on the floor. Ick! And normally bones doesn't give me the icks ever!

Ok 2 finally thoughts (sorry this is a long one) I find it interesting they make the killers character identify so deeply with the "broken home" thing like that's some eternal excuse for horrible behavior or life choices - i feel like younger me was definitely impressionable by that comment and what it meant.

Final thought - I think we can genuinely see Bones struggling a little bit with how she is navigating her feelings towards booth and what this new dynamic means. It's hard too see :(.

Ok all done & ready for one of the best / weirdest episodes of bones next week!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to hear what you guys think!

This is one of those episodes I really enjoy. It's cute and has cute moments but also very very sad and heart warming. It does make me tear up at the end every single time and I think the actress who plays cam does an amazing job with this episode. I love Angela giving them al faces and love that the episodes spends some time on this part of the episode.

I love the pink stuff that Hodgins has to figure out Love getting scenes or story line of him and daisey being a good team even tho he can't stand her. Love him wanting to name it after Angela - I stand by the fact that they are better as a pair than separate- I just think they play off each other so well!

Ngl I love a no Hannah episode too lol. I also really enjoy this case in the sense that it did keep you guessing till the end. And the killer always sticks out to me like her acting is actually really good she plays her part well I think.

I also love when they talk about sweets or bones time in foster care and show that side of sweets understanding too.

Overall a good episode as a new watcher I would imagine and a re watch episode!

I don't know why but this episode always irritates me! It isn't a bad case or anything - kinda interesting and somehow I ALWAYS forgot who the actual killer is every single time even when we get down to the water glass part I'm still trying to remember who it is - but I kinda like how that whole part plays out.

But my main gripe is how awkward that last scene with Hannah and bones is. The sunglasses thing is SOOOO cringy idk why!!!!! And bones always seems unsure of herself and different around her. Which I guess is great acting bc we can tell her comfort level with her normal peeps and how at ease she is with them. But yeah idk something rubs me the wrong way every time that scene comes up.

Also, that scene in the hospital room earlier when booth says thank you to bones they stay like 40 seconds longer at each other than they should right in front of Hannah and when they pan away to a fuller view Hannah isn't looking in their direction we're supposed to believe she just fell asleep and started resting and not watching bones and booth interact? Yeah NO WAY. Lol.

Bullet point kinda day.. Love the science dude Love a Hannah free episode (sorry kinda not tho) Love the opening scene with the weird kids and his whole little "fact" lines Love bones' perfect murder banter Love that we are getting some of the same chemistry of b &b but not quite the lovey dovey closeness but the fighting banter & even how he gives her the thumbs up at the end!

Love how they all smile & watch her perform for the kids - ms Julian is so cute how she looks choked up almost Overall I rly enjoy this episode every time I rewatch! Love how you are guessing till the end!

This episode used to be so silly to me & of course it still is but towards the end of the episode when they catch the guy who is guilty when he says the line "what can I say, they all look the same".. that sentence struck me SO DEEPLY on one of the rewatches in the last few years. Like it stung it felt louder than any other time I watched this episode because this time it hit me how that and excuse we've heard time & time again when cops incorrectly arrest someone who "fits the description"... the way that sentence lands coming from a person of color.. it felt so real & raw. :(

Hi bones booth :) So yeah here comes Hannah - and yes she is gorgeous. We have no reason not to like her... it's hard getting used to the new normal but I wanna be happy for booth. Ughhhh.

I do like how Clark loses his composure in the beginning talking about b &b - one of my fav Clark moments! I also love bones facilitation with booths relationship but I also think irl it would come off much more weird.

As far as the killer I remember being shocked but also not shocked cause something was off from the beginning to me but I didn't think it was actually going to be him so I was proud I was right!

The case itself was actually better this week vs past few.

I love the whole entire linchpin concept and how they all think it's them - I do personally think it's bones more than Caroline but I love her in this episode so much!!!!!!!(love when bones goes to hug her) Also love our classic b&b car scene discussing if the teams back!

Also love when booth references "take him down like a flea" at the end and bones has the cutest smallest reaction to him using the right reference! And also yayyyyy who doesn't love a pregnancy. Also "we've worked around bigger" love that last scene!

The case again is like the c plot

Goodbye scene: I WANTED THEM TO KISS SO BAD! (Maggie is there a fanfic for this one???) You can tell booth is so sad. He pulls his hand away like he's trying to protect himself and his feelings.

Love how ms Julian calls out that they are running away fr/ each other. I actually think this was a good way to deal with the tension of back and forth w/ b & b.

This episode is one of my fav. Re watches - somehow I feel the suspense every time. I think they do a great job of making you hate tafit. Love the whole team pulling together. Love the emotions. Of course we have to ignore that some of this all happens faster than real life - and that even after finding the boy they can just drop their case & work on it. Tony bit of magical evidence / fish moment to booth with the #. Overall great episode but pulls at the heart strings worrying what's going to come of b & b!!! Also love the throwback to her driving away in taxi like 1st case!!

The details of this case are always lost on me idk what it is but I check out of those scenes every time I re watch this episode! But I'm always tuned in to hodgins and anglea! Obviously love their outcome. The whole scene in the car cracks me up & feels so natural and not forced by their characters. I think that's what I like about them is they act better together than apart! Also the cop at the jail is one of my favorite side characters - when he throws the confetti LOL. Love sweets helping out on this one & that the scenes are ending with b & b but trying to est. New grounds.

Hi Bones Booth! I started listening to your podcast in august and have finally caught up to ALL the episodes and will now follow along week by week!

I love this episode it is always one that sticks out to me because I really loved the piano music and how they treat the parents. I like that they give them the picture and the dvd at the end. I tear up at the end every time.

The only reason i rated it a 9 instead of a 10 is because I know we all hate when it's like an accidental death or something. I remember being unsatisfied by that ending before.

Also - best sad parents we've had in awhile.
