Percy Jackson and the Olympians (2023)
Ehhh... no
If you are looking for a decent fantasy tv series, and haven't read the books, or at least aren't a proper fan of them, then sure, it's relatively ok so far. But as a fan of the books, I take this series with a grain of salt, as it is not loyal to the books ( besides keeping the essence of the world relatively accurate ) and has changed the personalities and personalities of the characters. So in all honesty all my excitement for it before it came out, was for nothing hut disappointment. I just wish they stuck with the books because they truly held a special place in my heart and I am honestly sorely disappointed. I don't intend to finish it.
65 (2023)
Honestly, gets too much hate
To start, I am a dinosaur fan, and will always try any dino flick.
65 is really no masterpiece as the plot seems sloppily put together, but it receives too much hate. It is gritty ( well as gritty as TV-12 will allow it to be ), heartfelt, has solid CGI with good cinematography, diverges from the typical dino-movie plot, and it has Adam Driver, who saves the movie from being "meh."
Even though the plot feels underdeveloped and missed many opportunities, it is very fun watch, despite lacking in those departments. As a whole, it is definitely worth the 1h 33m of your life. So watch it by yourself, on family movie night, or even if you just want to see more dinosaurs.
