If you Can't Have the World you Love, Love the World you're With!
8 March 2024
I'm white and I'm English - so what the f do I know? (I put the f word in as a joke to attract attention by the way) - watch the movie if you don't understand!

What. I do know is that I don't watch anything that says it's a comedy, but I watched this as I always watch imdb's nominee list. I loved every second. It's not a comedy - but it is sometimes funny.

This is a movie about not relating to the world you live in, but finally realising that it's not the environment you live in, but the interactions that you have within that environment that matter.

So you hate the world that you live in and take the piss out of it, and it gives you back everything that you wanted - get over it and enjoy. So you dedicate your time to your old Mum and she loves your wayward brother more - be pleased that she's happy.

Like Everything Everywhere this movie chuckles at the froth of shallow success and embraces the power of love.

Enjoy it!

Enough is Enough
26 May 2023
This movie is about looking at your life. Enough is enough - More can kill you.

People and Society expect you to be as much as possible. If you have ability then you have to use it to progress as far as you can. This movie says - just enjoy what you want to be. Less is More.

The two Mum's represent the pressures that Society put on you. The antique shop guys represent a world where you can enjoy who you are - but even that can be sad if you lose your soulmate - but even that can be pisitive if you reflect on the joy that it brought.

This movie is great - if you are willing to hear, rather than just listen.

A Metaphor of Love for Ordinary Lives
26 January 2023
Anybody who thinks this film is about multiverses really misses the point. The multiverses are simply metaphors for the more "successful" or exciting lives that we sometimes dream that we might have had. To quote the summarising lines "Here all we get are a few specks of time where any of this actually makes any sense". The reply is "Then I will cherish those few specks of time". So the meaning of life isn't about success or glamour or achievement. As the film says in life "Nothing matters" (or nothing really matters - like Freddy said!). So life is about relationships and those few "specks of time" when we share with others the magic moments that make the.golden memories that define our lives. Just a few magic specks of time.
