Globe Trekker (1994– )
Globe Trekker
9 January 2008
Globe Trekker or "Lonley Planet" here in America (I use to live overseas in the middle east)is extremely entertaining. From Mauritian waterfalls, to the Chinese forbidden city, to Indonesia volcanoes and orangutans, to Mexico's bullfights, to Kenyan landscape, to Londons modern cities, to the Rio Carnival, to Ghana's beaches, to Greenland. I love to travel where ever, whenever, or however. I myself have been to many countries and this wants me want to get back on the plane. It captures cuisine, nature, landscapes, culture, and history my favorite things in the world like ingredients and soup. If this show was soup no matter if I'm sick or healthy I wanting heaping teaspoons of it.

Finally a show with people getting in bad scrapes with animals, but showing that the animals are just fulfilling their natural purpose unlike "When Animals Attack".
6 January 2008
I respect anyone who has every been in potential danger with a wild animal for on a school trip to Madagascar that I went when I was living overseas I had my scare with crocodiles.

I am just so happy- finally a show featuring people getting in bad scrape with animals, however showing that the animals are just acting like animals as in they are just fulfilling their natural purpose unlike "When Animals Attack". My 9 favorite stories are Peter Coleman and the rogue elephant, Tina Dalton and the humpback whale, Sophie Darlington and the buffalo/lions, Adam Ravetch witnessing a polar bear attack, Gordon Buchanan and the Sloth Bear, Ron Taylor and the shark, Mike Bhana in the shark, Paul Donavan and the komodo dragons, and Klaus Lang and the rogue white rhino. I have seen many of these animals and I know the force the have, but it takes an anti-Captain Ahab like Klaus Lang a man who said he was in the back of the truck when a rhino sedated woke up and rammed the rhino was in the right and not knowing who to deal with human technology he didn't know better. Many naturalist don't think that, but it takes a true animal lover to know this accident was human error.

Duma (2005)
Duma Mix
6 January 2008
This film mixes two books,a movie and this one movie I forgot the name of. It has "The Cay:" a caucasion boy and an Black old man survive in the wild. It has "Thunder Cave:" an African warrior leads a boy who lost his true father except in Duma sadly Xan loses his dad. It has "Born Free:" a family releasing a wild animal into Africa specifaclly a big cat, and this movie where two westerners and one African help with poverty and wildlife.

It's about time they made a movie with a cheetah as the star. It's my favorite animal. The cheetahs loved but when Americans make Africa films it's always about elephants, lions, or apes hardly ever cheetahs. And if I was a kitten I'd give two paws straight up.

Comic Genius
10 November 2007
This started Space Jam, The Rocky and Bullwinkle Movie, Osmosis Jones and more movies that mix animation with live action actors. I loved the usage of the wacky looney tunes in the more innocent setting of the Mickey Mouse cartoons. From tweetie's cameo, to Roger's hero Goofy, to Porky Pigs's camoes, to these godfather like weasels, to Tinkerbell. Out of toon town they used elements from Italian-American hit movies. I loved Christopher Llyod as well as the role of Jessica's Performance Model. She is the most sexiest cartoon ever. Above all this is comic genius having a movie for adults using kid themes. It is a really good film.

Madagascar (2005)
The Greatest and Worst Animamted Movie!!!
29 October 2007
Madagascar! Where do I begin. I like and dislike this movie for so many reasons I like it because it is plum out HILARIOUS. The part on the subway with the lion and the baseball fan is good, the part of the Marty the zebra in time square, getting cornered by police and news reporters, the psycotic penguins, and the chimps, and even the part on the boat going to Kenya, but got shipwrecked. I used to want to be an animal conservationalist as a younger kid and this mixed that with my love for comedy. I love a good animal personification (every now and then.) I dislike the movie cause the only real funny parts with the exception of some dialouge by King Julian the ring tailed lemur and one where Alex chases Marty the only funny parts took place when the animals were in New York or on the boat. When they came to Madagascar it lacked funny parts, but had some cute laughless jokes. The movie should have been called New York City Zoo. I mean the parts in the New York scenes were hilarious or on a 10 on a scale 1-10 and the funny parts in Madagascar were a 3.5 PS-I;ve been to every location (New York City, Kenya, and Madagascar) the movie covered except Antarctica.

Unfabulous (2004–2007)
A Tribute to Addie
29 October 2007
As the faith of most live action sitcoms for kids, adults, girls, and boys Unfabulous as I saw on IMDb I believe won't make anymore episodes because the cast got to old. The show is set when Addie and her friend Gina are in seventh and eight grade and all the cast are like 16 or 17. I know this show is girls more than guys but like my iCarly review I am sucker for Nick sitcoms like these. Even though this particular show is for pre-teen girls. Keep in mind I am a straight guy who just digs shows where the cast are young and talented. My favorite character was Ben. He was like the coolest guy. At times Zach and Gina had funny moments. As a fan to Addie's guitar playing I would miss the show. In truth though I've only seen 13 or 14 out of many of this show with like 50 or 60 episodes. But like 9/10 or the episodes were pretty good.

Time Squad (2001–2003)
Educational But Incredibly Inaccurate At The Same Time
28 October 2007
Time Squad has historical figures that in retarded way still manages to educate kids about history. Eli Whitney, Sigman Freud, Copernicus, Kubla Khan, Earl Sandwich, Buffalo Bill, Hatfields and McCoys, Louis Pasteur, Hernando de Soto, Alfred B. Nobel, Samuel Morris, Al Capone, General Patton are 13 historical figures among the 63 historical figures covered that many kids might not know about. Some like Kubla Khan and Hernando De Soto aren't even household names that grown-up might not know. These are also the ONLY 13 historical figures out of 63 historical figures are some of I didn't know about until I saw Time Squad. I am actually a history whiz like Otto. As I said Time Squad is really educational show, but is really, really off when it comes to history. On one mission when they back in time to see Amelia Earhart one of the Time Squad told her to get lost in the Bermuda Triangle from California in real life she was supposed to die in Japan because the Japanese thought she was in a fighter plan. She was the first woman to fly across the Atlantic first, and the Pacific. Also an episode to see Albert Einstein the historical alarm showed that he was in Texas. Albert Einstein was a German physicist not an American mathematician. On another one when they had to go see Socrates they got a lot of the setting of Ancient Greece wrong. They made it like first century AD, Pompeii, Italy. On another one to see George Washington the screen said 1778 and they went back to convince him not to resign. In real life the US didn't have an official president to 1789. On a mission to see George Washington…Carver, an African American he actually died around 1915 and invented more than 101 uses for the peanut, but more than like 900! On a mission to see Abraham Lincoln they said who he was about to see a play at the Ford Theatre and die in 1863. In real life he died in 1865. Lastly on a mission to see Johan Gutenberg and Joan of Arc they were mixed up in professions by names. In real life Gutenberg lived about sixty years after Joan of Arc. From saying that Africa is mostly jungle to saying Bush is democrat it is a funny yet stupid show.

iCarly (2007–2012)
iCool
28 October 2007
iCarly captures a not-so-common life of a pre-teen girl perfectly. A smart, witty, funny girl and her best friend Sam have cool life having an awesome hobby (a TV Show), a spacious condo or apartment and her guardian is her 26 year old brother. It is one of those few shows where it's centered around a teenage girl, but guys can relate to it really well especially with the eccentric Spencer and the adorable yet sometimes annoying Freddy. I like iCarly mainly because I am a sucker for 21st century sitcoms and dramas like Drake and Josh and sometimes Zoey 101. Some of them may be girly but I love watching how kids/teens act with everyday things encountering their life. iCarly has a well rounded personality making this the best Nick sitcom in my view.

Pushing Daisies (2007–2009)

Pushing Daisies, It it Pushing My Wednesday's Up
5 October 2007
This is the most awesome primetime show for a couple of years. It actually makes you to not miss the next episode. The narrator's voice is actually charming (not that I am you know what.) There has been lots of plots that are a supernatural or unfortunate movies and shows from "Dead Like Me," "A Series of Unfortunate Events," and as someone commented "Big Fish," but this makes things fit into modern life really well. It's not so complex too. All you have to remember is that he taps them, they come alive, he has 60 seconds before someone else's life is deceisted, and the touches them again and then they are gone forever. It has supernatural themes for kids, light comic moments for teens, romance, real life events, and adult jokes for well adults, and different settings for if you are looking to brighten your day even though death is mentioned. It makes my Wednesday evenings charming evenings.

Forrest Gump (1994)
9/10
Forrest, Forrest Gump
5 October 2007
Forrest Gump is well, probably the best movie made by Hollywood. It captures the aspects of everyday American life but of that of man who has experienced war, met the president three times, met Elvis, John Lennon, visited DC, was America's first ping pong champion, an American philosophical slogan giver, and even a fit runner who ran across the country. He is the All-American guy. It made you feel you were there in 60s when we landed on the moon, when Richard Nixon robbed the Watergate, and when African-American were making the mark on America. However despite it's emotional and innocent events it had some moments like whe Jenny (god bless her soul even though she had done wrong) was a prostitute, when JFK, George Wallace, Lennon, and more were shot, and even when Forrest's mom had to sleep with a school principal so Forrest could make it in life brang out the dark and dirty points of our nation and leaves feeling a little guilty for how society is. This is why I only give "Forrest Gump" a 9. I still like when he says "Big Bubblegum Shrimp"

The Wild Thornberrys (1998–2004)
A day of the Thornberrys
27 July 2007
The Wild Thornberrys Rule! From the depths of the Congo learning from grumpy gorillas, to befriending Kenyan elephants to talking to polar bears! Taming Australian dingoes! Meeting strong jaguars! escaping from lions in quicksand, and defending a giant hippo from poachers Eliza Thornberry her brother raised in the rainforest in Asia and Darwin her stray chimpanzee rule. I like the idea of living in an RV traveling global wild hotsptots and seeing Egypt's vast deserts and tombs meeting animals to learn from, explore with, and help with her power to talk to animals and her occasional cousin TYler. African giraffes, antelopes, and bright zebra sightings, being helpful to hyenas, and being lazy with Russian beavers is wonderful. Imagine if you could be a Thornberry for a week.
