When lower decks first came out, i thought to myself it would be awesome to have some kind of live action crossover episode.

It actually happened!

To, me this episode should go down as one of the greats! TOS tribble episode, data's trial episode, deep space 9 tribble episode and even the finale of enterprise!

This episode hit all the nostalgia possible. Boimler is probably the most relatable character in all of star trek and for him to interact with star trek legends in a live action format was just great.

It's ashame it took paramount 5 seasons of discovery and 3 seasons of picard to get it right. But its still not perfect.

I dont think we needed SNW, discovery or picard. We needed a series based 20 years after Next generation. With the episode formula of TNG. That way the new crew could interact with TNG cast in their older age and interact with the lower decks crew!

To give a little context, this genre is right up my alley. Im a big fan of angels, demons and even ancient alien theory.

I have been waiting for a possession film that has an angel intervene instead of some priest yelling "jesus christ compels you". It never really made sense to me that god is just up there watching and not sending an angel to help the possessed people. This is not the case in this movie!!

The first thing you notice is the production quality. I was expecting some low budget b-film but it didn't feel like it to me.

Im not the biggest fan of angels and demons possessing human bodies especially if its shown that they have physical forms. In some movies the celestials are only spirits in which, the only way they can be on our plane is to possess a human body. But in this movie, its not the case. They have physical forms. So I thought it was a waste to have the priest possessed by an angel.

It was also a little more gory than I imagined which for me wasn't a bad thing.

If you are a fan of movies like "the prophecy", "the order" and "the ninth gate", i think you will like this one!

So, I had seen commercials for this series since it started. I always thought to myself, it looked good. Since I worked from home, I needed shows to watch and decided to start.

My first and only issue was all the unnecessary sex scenes. It added nothing to the plot but towards to end of the series, it kinda stopped. Very similar to Game of Thrones.

I mean, its the wire good, sopranos good, GOT good.

You start to feel for the characters. Philip and Elizabeth.

Season 5 was the worst but came back strong in season 6.

You know its good, when you feel for Russian spies in todays social and political climate.!!

Im not too sure where to start with this review. I pride myself in the ability to look at a cover art and tell everything thats going to happen in a series. However, that was not the case with this one. I saw most plot twists and surprises coming but it doesn't happen the way you think it would. That was a big plus for me.

I liked most of the characters. The big irish guy was pretty funny along with the short officer with the beard (even tho hes a bad guy). Karen was pretty funny and Vivian was bad ass. The main character was the only one that was meh, only because he was hella lucky.

It did leave a surprise cliffhanger that sets up season 2!

This movie was so fun to me. I didn't go into the movie expecting some dynamic change to the horror genre. Like, how scary could a doll be?

We automatically think Chucky when we think of a killer doll/toy. Even if u factor in the Chucky reboot on Sci fi... M3gan is better.

Both the reboot of Chucky and M3gan have similar plots; in that, they are both rogue AI's. But I cant see myself losing to a 2 1/2 foot doll. But a 4 foot doll made of titanium, might give me some trouble! Lol.

Turn the lights off. Have a cocktail. Don't expect too much and give it a shot. Its fun and you might find yourself rooting for the robot!

Star Trek: Lower Decks is what the live action Star Treks of recent should of been. Its crazy to me that this is the only series that continues the universe.

You immediately fall in love with all the characters. The main characters friendships almost reminds you of the friendships of the main bridge crew of the Enterprise. Its light hearted fun that fallows the Star Trek mythos pretty accurately.

I think Paramount Plus should of built out Star Trek: Lower Decks as an hour long live action series!

But as an animated 30 minute show its already better than; Discovery, Strange New Worlds and Picard.
