I was expecting a commentary on cross cultural relationships. I was expecting to care about the main characters and whether they get together but by the end I did not care as it was so dragged out and disingenuous.
It feels like a message to her ex husband that other marriages may have happened but they are the ones that belong together and will end up together in the end. The issue is nobody cares.
