Quarterback (2023)
Could've been a 10
Great documentary! I loved getting to know Kirk more. He was really a down to earth guy. Patrick Mahomes was great too but came off a little cringey at times. What happened to Marcus? I know he got benched and had an injury but they couldn't show what he was up to at all? He completely disappeared. Where the show really took a major hit is they made Patrick's wife the star of the show. After every single play they had to show her reaction. She was already a very unlikeable person before this so I have no idea why they chose that route. At the end I had to turn it off because she was so unbearable.
Our Father (2022)
Had potential..
Well this documentary has a good storyline and starts off somewhat interesting. Unfortunately after a while you realize it's just the same thing over and over again. If length of the documentary was cut in half it would've been a lot better. Obviously the guy is messed up but they felt the need to add in pointless little details about him. How many times do we need to hear that he carries a gun? Yea we get it already! Also the main victim made herself somewhat unlikeable. She comes off as trying to sound tough in so many instances. That might have something to do with the directors though. I would watch the first 30 mins and then just fast forward to the end if you're going to watch this.
Extraction (2020)
Loved it.
Great action movie that wastes no time. I'm sure it's not for everyone but it's definitely worth the watch. I've watched it a couple of times now and it is still entertaining. Chris Hemsworth really made the movie though. I'm always hate when movies have a guy that looks like a toothpick and try to make you believe he can just destroy everyone. Chris made the role very believable for what the movie is. Never a dull moment and the non stop action at times did surprise me with stuff I didn't see coming. I don't think it deserves the low rating it has. If you have some extra time give it a watch.
American Manhunt: The Boston Marathon Bombing (2023)
Great doc but far left narratives took it down.
Great insight on what happened but they spent so much time on far left politics trying to make Islam out to be the victim and how the right wing was wrong to blame then it turns out it was an Islam terrorists attack. This is a typical Netflix way of doing things so not really surprised. The main reporter they used was obviously far left and tried to insert his own agenda then they found some random Islamic student to try to make him out to be the victim. Overall though there was a lot of information that I learned that I was not aware of before. Just know before you watch it that Netflix has to put their own spin on it.
