Full Circle: Essequibo (2023)
What Happened here?
It's like, it's like,..... someone liked a bunch of these actors (reason I'm watching!) and just made up a series for them and just smashed together a bunch of stories that never quite jive together. Love many actors in it, but wish I'd have loved the story.
For word count:

Justified: City Primeval: Adios (2023)
Finally A Little Bit of Something
Let me preface by saying I love Justified (OG). I love Timothy Olyphant. And I was excited to see him act with his daughter, who blissfully isn't in this episode.
Edit. The introduction music is the best 10 seconds on TV today. Literally 10 seconds. And, I'm watching the episode again!
This was the first episode that wasn't 100% like fingernails on chalkboard over and over and over til they are bloody, because, god, what a long trek this has been to get: where? No. Where.
But it was the first episode that was in any way interesting. There are too many little ancillary stories that are just there for no particular reason, like maybe everybody got to nepo someone in. (Oh, I bullied you in high school. Here come play a random crim.)
This villain is just a psycho, nothing interesting about him at all beyond his side hustle (Rock Star In His Own Mind) Can you imagine dying listening to that chicken fat sing and jibber jabber?
The writing is terrible. I'm embarrassed for them. Everyone did Viviene Olyphant a disservice. Viv. Tim. Tim's Wife. Writers. Directors. Producers. I think somebody was teaching somebody a lesson, be it Tim teaching his daughter. Be it Tim's wife for suggesting it. Be it the writers who must have said, Hey,kid. Talk like you're a three year old baby, not the wise cracking love child of Raylan & Wynonna. Maybe the powers that be are teaching Tim a nepo lesson. Because surely someone knew how horrible it was coming across. If she was 5, maybe. 15. Please.
This episode did give me a glimmer of hope for the last two.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: Subspace Rhapsody (2023)
Hate it
I hated it so much could not sit thru it. I may not tune in again, that is how offended my sensibilities are. It was ridiculous and flat out stupid.

Justified: City Primeval: City Primeval (2023)
Oh man say it isn't so.
I wanted to like everything about this show. I even cheered on the nepotism, because why the heck not?
I know there is the age difference between Willa and Vivienne, but she is acting like she is 8 years old. I was believing in my heart I would adore her. But then it's early. Maybe hope yet. I think she may need to consider taking direction better, because someone in charge certainly knew this.
Sorry for the following but I don't want to sit here just being negative to satisfy min character.

Also. Was this Raylan's first day as a parent? Okay, she misbehaving bad enough to require "camp" but he leaves her alone under these circumstances. Strange & dangerous city. Hotel. Alone. With no clear street sense, because what was all the wandering around in vacant buildings? New hobby? I think the writers all quiet quit before the strike.
Justified: A Murder of Crowes (2014)
Love show hate Michael Rappaports accent
I hated this season when it aired, but Season 6, the baddies suck so bad it makes this look good. I love this show. I love Tim O and the other regulars, but I have to say that their baddies cam make it hard to rewatch. Mags Bennet as a prime example. And Daryl Crow is the king of yucky bad guys. AJ Buckley however, lov3 him no matter what.
Why oh why do I have to write 60,000 word review? Dumb dumb dumb Why oh why do I have to write 60,000 word review? Dumb dumb dumb Why oh why do I have to write 60,000 word review? Dumb dumb dumb. The Rookie: Coding (2022)
Get rid of Jenna Dewan
Oh my god. This character is ridiculous. Not only can she do everything, firefighter, EMS, arson investigations, detective, doctor, on and on....but it's like she is THE ONLY ONE IN LA. Even the Chicago franchise doesn't make this silly mistake. I do not understand why she is on this show. I hate to rag on looks, but the fillers in her lips look like they could double as John facial razor.
And does Nathan Fillion have a "type"? Stanza K, Emily D (tho she was a redhead in this) and Jenna Dewan all kind of fit a type. It's boring. I love this show, hate that character. And why I gotta write a million words?
Castle: In Plane Sight (2015)
Oh My God Stupid Lazy Writing
Okay. So there is a murder on the plane and as per usual they go thru several million suspects before the perp outs herself.
But...Before that.....So, there sits Castle and his kid talking on an effing speaker phone about the case while sitting in their seats with passengers all around them. I mean. Come on. What kind of idiots do they think that we are? I didn't watch this show in prime time, just stream in the background and I put up with a lot of stupidity to please my family who wants to watch. But this was literally the dumbest thing I've ever seen. My intelligence has been insulted so badly I no longer respect it!
Station 19: Dirty Laundry (2023)
Best Show in forever
This was the best Station 19 in a very long time. Let me just say it. NO CARINA. She spoils this show with her endless bellyaching. And when there is no Carina, Maya is much easier to take. This week when she opened her mouth to yell it was totally bad-assed. She sat that entitled prick down.
Do we think Beckett is planning on checking out? Maybe. But I really liked this version of Beckett, who was nothing short of deplorable previously.
Feel bad for Ben; he tried so hard. All the characters are showing growth. Like they are all adulting at the same time.
Go Herrera. Someone needed to support chief and she was perfect.
