Legend of the Seeker (2008–2010)

Legend of the Seeker - a sorely missed show
16 July 2011
This show was a breath of fresh air in an otherwise stifling television environment. The episodes were gripping and I looked forward to new episodes. The high standards set by this series are far beyond the norm, and I miss this series and the interaction between the characters. With all of the "reality" shows and the obsession of the networks regarding crime, law, and medical oriented shows, "Legend of the Seeker" was on a different level. The effects, plots, character interaction, and entertainment value was exceptional. I miss this show, and it's cancellations of shows like this that illustrate the inaccuracy and inadequacy of the rating system.

The Cape (2011)

The Cape _ Finally, a show worth watching on NBC
10 January 2011
The first two episodes of The Cape are an example of what to do to interest viewers. The show had a "feature film" feel as opposed to the low budget hack feel of most modern television programming. I can only hope that future episodes continue to meet viewer expectations.

While not a "fan", I'll admit I enjoyed seeing Summer Glau in another television series. I was disappointed by the untimely demise of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Dollhouse.

To summarize, with most networks spewing a continuous stream of cop, lawyer, and medical shows, NBC has created a show that stands above the rest.

Bob's Burgers - don't bother
10 January 2011
This show is an abysmal failure compared to Fox's other animated shows. The quality of animation and illustration leave much to be desired. The first episode was uninspired and gives little hope for improvement for future episodes.

The shows teasers were disappointing and the show's first episode was no surprise. It is an uninspired offering that doesn't live up to the expectations of the regular viewers of The Simpsons, American Dad, and Family Guy.

If you enjoy good quality animation, or even mediocre quality animated programming, look for something else. Bob's Burgers is little more than air-time filler sure to be replaced by better programming in the near future.

Two and a Half Men (2003–2015)

One of the worst shows ever
14 October 2010
This show is an example of the worst of television. I don't know why this show is still around and I have to wonder about the people who like it. The main characters are a womanizing alcoholic and a gutless whiner who lets women take advantage of him. That's bad enough but even worse is the stations that transmit the reruns. The same group of episodes re-broadcast over and over again. Watching clothes in the dryer is more entertaining than this airtime filler. Worst of all is the fact that Charlie Sheen will rake in nearly $98,000,000 for the next two seasons. Why can't networks come up with more programming that's actually entertaining? Do yourself a favor and change the channel, take a walk, or play with the kids. Don't waste your time with this show.
