Khun krabii hiiroh (2004)
Thailands answer to Brain Dead...
...is almost as good as the original! This is a very stupid movie. The jokes are horrible, and the plot isn't much to speak of. However, I totally love it for these reasons; There is a lot of zombie mayhem in this movie. And I mean a lot. Although the zombies, for some reason, had fangs and could run (which in general is a no-no), I absolutely loved them.
The movie makers must've had distance to themselves, and not taken themselves too seriously. Had they done that, and tried to make the first Thai zombie epic, they may have failed, and a fall from that high would be much worse. Sure, the comedy in this movie is stupid, but it's becoming of the style.
So, this in an all-out splatter feast with lots of immature antics thrown in for good measure, and I highly recommend it.
Dark Angel (2000)
Great action, good acting, beautiful Jessica!
Jessica Alba, the no. 1 all-time beauty, stars as Max in this futuristic action/sci-fi series, set in a dystopian future. Max was part of a genetic engineering project as a child, but escaped from Manticore, where she and her fellow guineapigs were held by the evil Lydecker and crew.
The script is almost as impressive (being an american action series) as the special effects, and there's nothing to complain about in the acting either. Altogether, this is one of the best TV-series ever produced. Much thanks to the STUNNING Jessica Alba!
Braindead (1992)
The best gore/comedy ever!
The movie is about a young man, Lionel Cosgrove, who has a very, very controlling mother, Vera Cosgrove. When Lionel meets a Paquita, his mother isn't very pleased. However, this has little meaning, because Vera gets bitten by a rat monkey and turns into a flesh-eating zombie! The rest of the film is a gore-fest, with the coolest SFX ever! And there's a little romance in there for you girls, too. Both human-human and zombie-zombie. And, I guess, a little zombie-human action too!
