This was the first big screen Spider-Man adaptation, and it sure did deliver. It has an amazing plot, cast, and villain, which all mix into a great movie. Starting with the plot, it was a lot better than most other superhero movies at the time. It seemed (at the time) that it would be hard to get fans to enjoy a movie about a nerd who got powers from a spider bite. But even during a time when most superhero films would flop, Spider-Man did great. And that's because it has a very unique story. They managed to take what looked like a pretty goofy superhero, and turn him into this serious person. The action in this movie, although not as good as some other movies, was still really good. The cast as well, was perfect. The stand out was Willem Dafoe, who had an amazing performance as Green Goblin. The story in this movie was fantastic, and I love how Peter started as this nerdy nobody, and over time was able to become this web slinger. I think this was a great movie, and it really set up a great path for more Spider-Man movies.
