The Irish Blair Witch?
27 August 2023
Found footage can be heavily hit or miss, but this one is most definitely a hit.

Drawing you in from the very start, with a lone survivor, at that point unnamed and unidentified out of the four missing students, you're hooked into figuring out which of the "lucky" four will survive their perilous trip to Glenarma forest...

From then, following along the life of Gordie and his friends, as they plan to go snoop on their teachers rendezvous in the forest... and that's, where the trouble starts.

As they're hunted down, each moment is filled with dread and tension as you wonder... which will be the "final girl" so to speak?

Ultimately, a fun found footage that doesn't end when the tapes do, but concludes with what happens after as well, leading to a satisfying, and ultimately hopeful ending despite the tragedies.

A must see for sure for found footage fans.

A fantastic homage to Ghost Watch that also stands on its own
27 August 2023
This was an absolutely fantastic watch at FrightFest, a pure delight, with great classic Irish humour and a wonderful atmosphere.

Whether you're fan of GhostWatch and want to watch a very lovingly made homage, or simply a fan of horror that doesn't take itself too seriously (until it does), this is 100% a must watch.

This is definitely a film to watch again and again and again on loop to catch all the things you've missed or was heavily foreshadowed, from the significance of the numbers on the wall, the various audio and visual distortions, everything to do with Declan in the attic, and more.

Do yourself a favour, and watch this brilliant little film.
