The Man Who Sees UFOs (2021)
HIs Quest Continues...
This documentary is the sequel to the first documentary made in 2014 titled "Curse of the Man Who Sees UFOs". It begins on Thanksgiving Day 2017 and ends about a year later around Thanksgiving Day. In it we find a somewhat depressed Christo continuing to search the night sky over Monterey Bay in search of UFOs and, sure enough, he continues to find and video record them along with the help of a similarly interested male friend as well as a rather attractive "spiritual" type female admirer he attracted because of the celebrity brought to him by the first documentary.
But, his jovial disposition has been dampened due to a landlord that has raised his rent, one of his beloved dogs nearing the end of its life and requiring to be put to sleep, and his own worsening health problem. He will have to muster all of his inner strength to overcome these and will eventually find the inner peace he had been searching for years to attain.
He notes that often his nocturnal attempts to communicate with the various hovering UFOs over Monterey Bay are interrupted by the sudden appearance of helicopters that seem to be trying to chase the ET craft away! No doubt they are military aircraft and one wonders what is the quality of the close up video their crews are obtaining of these alien craft. Of course, the general public will never see those videos and we are only left with the far lower quality ones that Christo manages to obtain.
He approached the producers of the first documentary requesting they do a second, but they declined apparently because they thought his story had, more or less, been completely told. But, no, there was much more to it and this second documentary fills us in on what that is. Will there be a third installment? Something tells me there will be and that we will see Christo Roppolo back with even better equipment so he can capture high resolution video of these ET UFOs that will begin to show structural details on them when they dim out enough to permit that.
Those who enjoyed the first documentary will, like me, probably enjoy this sequel as well.
Alien and UFO Encounters: The Top 20 (2023)
Lots of CGI UFOs!
This is yet another CGI packed ET UFO documentary that explores various parts of the subject. Provides a nice summary of some of the alleged crashed craft and ET corpses/survivors. I was impressed by the recounting they gave of the famous Socorro, New Mexico case from the 1960's. That was the case where a sheriff's deputy happened upon a LANDED ET UFO which had two small ETs standing near it. When the spotted the human, they quickly scrambled up the ladder into their egg shaped craft and took off. The head of Blue Book racked his brain trying to explain this one away, but failed. I consider it 100% PROOF that "we are not alone". Sadly, few today even know of this very important case.
This documentary is fine up to the last few minutes when it, imo, becomes totally nutty. There we learn of a government whistle blower who claims that the US government has a formal agreement with the 11 ET races visiting Earth so they can abduct and experiment with humans. Apparently, some of them actually EAT humans for nourishment and that accounts for the 100,000 children who have disappeared. He also informs us that some of the ETs have a plan to turn all of humanity into aliens by the year 2029!
If you can filter out this nonsense, I think you will enjoy this latest addition to the growing collection of ET UFO documentaries.
Sleeping Beauties (2023)
Kind of creepy...
My first reaction was that the Indonesian actress, Intan Kieflie, was just too short and too pregnant to play a part, especially a physically active one, in a horror movie. I'm happy to report that I was wrong because she did an excellent job. After the murder of her husband, she's desperate for money to pay her mortgage and accepts a job as a maid serving a weird brother / sister couple out in a remote ranch somewhere in Australia. What could go wrong? Actually, a LOT if their residence is loaded with ghosts and the couple is a lot weirder than one might imagine!
Actionwise, this movie tends to move slowly up until the last ten minutes or so. Then things get rather gory.
It's an okay horror movie and I was impressed by the makeup and special f/x used for the ghosts. Worth a view, imo.
