I am a Crime drama junkie so maybe I have just watched too many but I am so tired of the autistic-coded male operative/detective teamed up with an emotional sensitivity/mature woman to solve crimes/problems trope. Always feels like the wishful thinking of some Aspie-script writer; that their logical analytical mind will be a magic talent that will make people like and accept them. At least in this one, most of the normal people find this guy super-irritating and try to avoid and get rid of him. Except of course, two women who try and help him cope; his housekeeper and his partner. Maybe I am responding from my own perspective - husband and son on the spectrum; yeah I am the support woman - but this is such a tired dynamic.
