Europa: The Last Battle (2017)
It's not flawless but it's worth seeing and that cancels out all flaws
I see a lot of nonsensical reviews saying it's biased, to which I would reply "umm all documentaries are biased, you're just not used to seeing YOUR bias be challenged". I bet even those people learned something when watching this though.
I saw some saying it's nazi propaganda and again who really cares? The question is, is it true or not? It's silly to think that nothing we were taught about WW2 or WW1 for that matter is untrue.
Overall it was a great watch. My only criticism is maybe it's a bit too long, I wish people would watch it with an open mind which is what we were always taught in school. It's just sad that many of them don't take that open-mindedness seriously when it comes to something challenging.
Hooking Up (2020)
Bad for so many reasons
First off it looks like they're really trying to push the black man white women thing into existence. No matter how statistically unlikely it is for this to happen, they still seem to make film after film with that subject matter. We have actual data on this stuff. That's the first thing.
It's also really pushing the concept of casual sex, which again is statistically not a good idea especially for women. Again, we have data on this stuff.
There's so much we can say about this movie. It's not funny, it's not realistic, and it's not a good movie.
I can't believe I actually watched it and that's on me.
So much nonsense in this movie.
