As usual yet another solid performance from Ray Winstone. Probably the saving grace for this film. The script is at best average and a little predictable and doesn't make the most of actors like Damian Lewis or Alan Ford.Damian Lewis's part seemed to add little to the movie, and no doubt had an impact upon the budget that could have been better spent elsewhere? Biggest downside of the film for me was Ben Drew. he has even less acting talent and ability than he does as a musician..
With a slightly bigger budget and more time spent on the script (or a different scriptwriter?) this could have been a cracking film. However as it is i would rate it as slightly above average, although better and a lot more watchable than a lot of new films lately.
