Imaginary (2024)
Horror for Disney adults
A horror movie that is very millennial pseudo childhood trauma healings bs. Most of the characters are annoying tropes with little depth. The crazy old man, rebellious teen daughter, and creepy elderly watcher that info dumps. The ending felt entirely too rushed, but a nice takeout. There were good parts that I wasn't expecting. The main character figures out what's happening on her own by revisiting her childhood bedroom, and the teenage daughter visits the info dumper. Also their were three great scare scenes. I do feel as if the actually terrifying aspects of the movie were not explored. The first wife, the bears powers, and the dads backstory. Overall a decent horror film but made for a more child like audience.
Mubing (2023)
Greta start but stupid twists.
The start of the show was great. Cute likable characters with in-depth personalities. Amazing cinematography, amazing acting, amazing action. But once the flashback episodes start it quickly becomes annoying and boring to watch. So much of the flashback scenes are useless talking. At first I enjoyed the flashback scenes because I thought they would last maybe an episode. But instead lasted four boring hours. Then once back to the present the flashbacks continued for what felt like every 10 minutes. The flashback were mainly pointless drivel that tried to give the bad guys a sad back story. It worked well with Frank in the earlier episodes but not much of an impact later on with every single character. Also the ending twists were incredibly dumb.
