Fight to Survive (2023)
really action-packed and exciting!!!
I really liked this series. I watched from the first episode to the last episode on Roku. It has a really interesting premise. Basically allowing the contestants to survive in the normal way (like foraging for food and finding water) OR they are allowed to physically challenge each other in a fighting ring in the center of the island. If you don't like physical confrontations then this is not a good series for you. But if you like that stuff (like I do), it's great raw visceral action within the context of surviving. I think this is how cavemen and women had to survive back in prehistoric times!
Castaways (2018)
the pace is slow, but the content is interesting
This series requires some patience. There is not a lot of action. Especially at the beginning. But eventually, things happen (I'm not going to spoil anything for new viewers). And when the things start happening. Then the series gets good. And by good, I mean interesting on a psychological level. Turns out that people really are social animals and require some social interaction in order to be happy and content. I know that this is probably an unpopular message in this day and age (and also a surprising message for a reality show to send), but that is what i took away from this series. And for that reason, I would recommend it.
Survivor (2000)
i know i'm late to the party, but wow
I've heard about this show for year, but never had the time to watch until now. I retired a few weeks ago and I've been looking over my lists of things I've meant to do for so long. Well, watching Survivor was definitely one of the things on my list. I gotta say that I have not be disappointed. I love watching the alliances and the voting. The challenges are really exciting. The island is amazing to see. My only problem is that some of the backstabbing seems a little meanspirited at times. But I guess they are playing for a lot of money, so all if fair in love and war. I can't wait to watching more seasons!
