Khaie (2024)
Best Revenge Pakistani drama
The drama was unexpectedly amazing. From the storyline to the OST and the location, everything was on point. There's always this urge to know what will happen next. Another thing that amazed me is that Lollywood is genuinely making an effort with women-centered roles. From Faisal Quresi to Dur-e-Fishan, each artist did justice to their role. The amount of dedication they've put in is clearly visible. I hope to see more Pakistani dramas like this, where they are doing something out of the box. I would love to see more thrillers like this from Lollywood, featuring dedicated artists. I pray for the departed soul of the late actor Khalid Bhatt, who portrayed the role of Durabb Khan like no one else could. For those who enjoy chilling revenge dramas, this one is a must-watch. Undoubtedly, it's worth your time. Happy watching.
Tere Bin (2022)
Total disappointment
After all the hype, I was quite hopeful about this drama. However, it turned out to be a total disappointment. There was no chemistry between the lead actors, and their acting fell short of expectations. The storyline felt completely baseless. The forced attempt by Wahaj was unnecessary and only made things worse. I've seen Wahaj's acting before, and it was better elsewhere. I'm not sure what went wrong here. Additionally, Yumna appeared more like Wahaj's elder sister. The sudden surge in popularity might be attributed to the excessive background music they used, which gave it a vibe reminiscent of Hindi serials. Such music hasn't been commonly used in Pakistani dramas before. Another reason for the hype could be the excessive romantic scenes copied from Hindi serials again. These kinds of scenes are quite rare in Pakistani dramas. The worst thing about this drama is the way they treat women. Seriously, it's 2024, and they are still producing stories where women have no voice. This is probably the worst Pakistani drama I've ever watched.😑😑
Mujhe Pyar Hua Tha (2022)
Average drama
The drama is rather average, with an unremarkable storyline. It revolves around a love affair between cousins which was of course one sided and is filled with family drama. Its popularity can be attributed to the captivating original soundtrack (OST) and the sudden rise in fame of Wahaj Ali after 'Tere Bin.' However, beyond these factors, it offers little else-repetitive themes of sacrifice, misunderstanding and endless tears dominate the narrative. The acting is good, as usual. However, the story becomes very slow at some point, making it hard to continue watching. There's nothing new to see, so it can be considered a one-time watch drama.
