Bare Deception (2000)
If you are Tane McClure Fan you will love this film.
I could have sworn this movie was on Cinemax every night for more than 3 months. After I got past Bare Deceptions weak excuse/plot for a B-movie I actually started to like it. Tane McClure plays a ratings grabbing Radio Talk-show host that creates a scandalous radio dating service. Of course the usual sex and murder ensues with abundance in this made for T.V. erotic thriller. But, if you are a Tane McClure fan you will not only love the way she looks in this one, but try as you might, especially if you have watched Bare Deception as much as I have, your going to like this film. At least you will late at night.
The Pornographer (1999)
Monique Parent gave a terrific perfomance!
Simply put, I saw this movie on Cinemax late one night. I thought for sure with a title like The Pornographer I would be looking at an entirely different kind of picture. I loved it. I especially noticed Monique Parents performance which was believable and wonderful! She hasn't been able to show off her talent that often in most of her films. I would say see this picture... expecting something different and you will love it.
Trance (2002)
Really good independent film making
I saw Trance recently at a private screening for cast and crew. I was really impressed with this little film. I loved Bruce Abbott's classic performance as the Svengali like magician Taylor Black. If you are a fan of Martin Kove from the "Karate Kid" days you will be intriqued by his broad and interesting performance as a deadly but oddly funny mafia hitman who is married to the tantalizing Catherine Santorini played by Tane McClure. If you are accustomed to seeing Tane McClure naked in one dimensional roles you may be surprized! McClure gives a solid, vulnerable and tormented performance as the abused wife unaware of her true powers. Definately not to be forgotten...is the charactor actor Wade Wallace who played Wally the Inn-keeper. He was hysterical! I hope to see more of him in the future. I give Trance an overall two thumbs up.
