Succession (2018)
One of the best shows ever made
Literally my favourite drama show. I am into business so I absolutely adored all the family business dinamics. The dialogues are out of this world, I can see it's the same writer as Peep Show (my favourite comedy of all time).
This is a must must watch, plot, characters are incredible. A mention to the soundtrack, the music, absolute masterclass. Maybe the best intro song in a show I've ever heard. Soooo solemn, engaging.
It sets the mood so perfectly, you're instantly hooked. It's like a magnet pulling you into the whole vibe of the show. Total masterclass!
If you've not watched it yet, do yourself a favour and go for it.
The Crown (2016)
Good show
It is a pretty good show for someone who is into Royals. Very very nicely executed technically, beautiful sceneries, great acting as well .
The attention to historical detail is remarkable; the costumes and settings transport you back in time
There is some ups and downs , some moments are a bit slow, nothing is happening. Quite a few episodes were not going places I would say. A very good last season, with great acting across the board. The ending, is where it picks up. Last season's a winner, with top-notch performances all around. If you're into royal drama, give it a shot. Will kind of miss it now it is over.
Ready Set StartUP UK (2023)
Worth the watch
I binged-watched the six episodes of the show in one weekend. It's engaging and fun to watch, especially for someone who's into startups or has either started or wants to start something of their own.
It feels a bit like a mix between Dragon's Den and The Apprentice, with quite a lot of Reality Show vibes to it. Pretty funny stuff, al lot of drama. There are a few things that could be improved from the viewer's perspective, I'd probably like a bit more focus on the business side and less on interpersonal dynamics (even though I liked Gabriela!).
Interesting mix of people involved who I looked out after finishing like Roberta Lucca and Tom Blomfield. It would be good to see more of it and them.
