The movie is entertaining and laugh inducing to watch and at the same time handles the emotional conflicts in the lead characters with sensitivity. The cast has performed an exceptional job but the credit of the movie entirely lies on the film director Tharun. The director spins his magic in writing dialogues which we use in daily life as well as inducing comedy without much hype. The movie flows naturally with the bright cinematography, good background score and music and a neat screenplay. Had heard a lot about this film through my cousins, in fact, I had watched it when I was a kid, but I could not recall the movie, thus, I decided to watch it again recently.

After watching the movie, I understood why, I was not able to recall what the movie was about. It was because, this movie explains the complex nature of emotions which everyone goes through, but, are never comfortable discussing it, even with their closed ones. This movie is definitely not for kids, It's for a mature audience. This is a wonderful romantic movie, which hovers around love care and lust in a subtle way. Only people with patience will enjoy this movie.

This movie was released in 1987, and it was definitely far ahead of its time. Forthose who have not seen the movie yet, watch it in a rainy day and feel the mixed emotions that the main character goes through. PS: Amazing performance by all the actors, especially,MOHANLAL.

This is the story of a nine year old blind boy who lives in the state of Kerala, his desire to see and to know the truth about his life. The boy's father with the help of some well-wishers arranges for a cornea transplantation surgery which brings life back to his eyes. Upon regaining vision the boy develops a wish, a wish to travel and explore the whole of India.

The boy's father, though financially weak, sets upon this mammoth journey to fulfil his child dream. On this soul searching journey the boy is exposed to a kaleidoscope of people, cultures, languages, lifestyle and food. And the overall movie is awesome.
