Jim Jefferies: I Swear to God (2009)
Very Funny Comedian!!!
I enjoy all types of comedy, from the innocent stuff like Cosby, Sinbad and Brian Regan...to the raunchy profane laced stuff by Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy and others. This guy had me laughing out loud...and I was watching it by myself. In my opinion, the trick to watching his style of humor is to not be offended and remember that it is his opinion and he does this stuff to get laughs. He takes a stab at some things that others may deem taboo, but it is all for the sake of getting you to belly laugh and let go for a little while. This guy had me rolling off the couch in quite a few instances and I think you are going to be seeing a lot more of him. Great job Jim...you definitely have a new fan!
Kitchen Nightmares (2007)
VERY entertaining!!!
I was first hooked on "Hell's Kitchen" and now this show is a must as well. Do they do certain things to create tension? Absolutely, this is television! All in all, it is refreshing to see a renowned chef come into a location and turn it around with his expertise as well as improve the decor. I would guess they pick locations where the owners are sure to clash with Gordon, but he can handle himself just fine. Some of the owners and chef's at these restaurants need a good kick in the pants to show them that just because you can own a restaurant or that you can cook, doesn't mean that you should. It is all about passion for what you do. I love the British TV version as well. The only down side is that I get REALLY hungry when I watch all the good dishes that Gordon prepares.
