Alexander (2004)

Pretty Bad
9 October 2005
Where to begin... first of all this story of Alexander, took place before Rome became powerful and before Julius Ceasar. Why do I mention this, because all the written works of Alexandria, was burned in a fire, where as per Julius Ceasars orders, were to burn the ships in the harbor, which unfortunately set fire to the great library of Alexandria. Which makes me wonder, where in the world did they come up with such a bad story to be made into a movie?? Now lets talk about the cast. It is always a pleasure to see Angelia Jolie, she is a good actress. Anthony Hopkins always is great to watch. We all know Val Kilmer chooses his roles wisely an always gives a good performance. Colin Farrel has his good moments, but in my opinion, did not sell the role of Alexander. Maybe it was because of the director, Oliver Stone. What in the hell was he putting in his coffee?? As far as battle tactics, it was a pure joke. In the fist battle, you have infantry running along side of Alexander and his calvary. What did Alexander give his men before the battle,, JOLT Cola?? The second battle was just as bad as the first. What was Oliver Stone thinking of in the last battle???? We all laugh when Alexander fell in battle and later his men carried him on what looked like a large shield,,, with the spear still in his chest,,, please give me a break.!!! Collin Farrel did not have what it takes to be in a part like this,, sorry. Least we forget, Alexander's sexual desires,, I think, it was played on a little too much. Hell, with watching this movie, I can see where the country of Greece got such a bad reputation. I gave this movie a 3, mainly for a few actors that played their part well,, Collin Farrel was not one of them and with honorable mention, Alexander's horse gave one hell of a performance. I hope there is some director that could do a better job in the story of Alexander and find a better leading man to play the part.

Bloodsuckers (2005 TV Movie)

Bloodsuckers, a new great show
31 July 2005
As far as story line goes, "Bloodsuckers" is an unusual one. Opening many opportunities for other actors like Joe Lando, Michael Ironside, to try a different kind of role to play. Even Joe Lando said "it was a different kind of experience playing a vampire." The crew that they have is good and will get better. Especially the actress that plays Quintana, Natassia Malthe. Lets just say this is a very unusual ally to have with the crew, but Quintana brings more to the story line besides her beauty. Her knowledge of the different Vampire clans is an ability that comes in quite handy if you saw the show. The crew has a job to pretty much clean up the mess that Earth started, by going to unknown worlds, only to find out they are mostly inhabited by vampires. I think the SiFi channel has hit with "Bloodsuckers" and I hope it stays around for awhile.

Jane March, very talented actress. should be in more films.
26 September 2004
Bruce Willis is always great in his movies,, but,, the one that got my attention was Jane March. Beauty and talent in one dynamic package. The dual role she played had many fooled and to play two parts, with different personalities shows how remarkable she is. I have added it to my film library mainly because of her performance. I am sorry that others have not seen this and had her star in more films. I hope this will change in the future, she is an extremely talented actress. I did also see her in a Tarzan movie, where she played "Jane". If these comments were only viewed by film makers, they could get feedback from what myself and others see.

Watch this actress.!!!

Simmone Mackinnon. There have been many movies about sharks and Lorenzo Lamas is an good actor, but, what made this film tick was the acting of Simmone Mackinnon. I hope her talent does not go un-noticed, if it does, she should dump her agent. I am looking forward to see how her career goes. Because of her I gave an above average high rating. She is also in the movie "Python 2", again her acting as a Russian woman married to an American made the movie. Also in that movie was William Zabka, from "Karate Kid". Simmone Mackinnon has great acting talent and beauty, she should do well in the movie business.

This movie has everything.!!

The third and final part of the movie "Lord of the Rings". I am so glad it won all the academy awards it did and very well deserved. Peter Jackson, the film's director, has done something brilliant and remarkable with this movie, that I think will never ever be duplicated again. The whole movie "Lord of the Rings" has something for everyone who enjoys a great movie such as this is. It has a great story line, it has plenty of action, friendship, honor among friends and of course romance. This movie from beginning to end no matter how many times a person might see it, will always offer the viewer something new each time. In my own personal opinion, this trilogy called "Lord of the Rings" has been the greatest movie made to date.

Great movie, with great new talent.
25 May 2004
Piper Perabo is a great new talent to watch. Her acting ability and style to her role in this movie is a pleasure to watch. Her behind the scenes interviews, shows she is a hard worker and will do what it takes to get the job done. I also enjoyed the performance of Bridget Moynahan, her acting and timing as Rachel, worked very well with Piper Perabo, when she started at working at the bar, replacing Zoe. Veteran John Goodman plays a perfect single father, trying to care and do the right thing for his daughter and in the end helps her make the right decision. The story was easy to follow and the director made it feel real. The addition of Lyann Rymes singing at the end was a great ending. It is a great movie and one that you can watch more than once.

My Favorite Musical
27 November 2003
Eastwood & Marvin, 2 tough guys, sharing a friendship, trying to strike gold and SINGING. IMO they did all that very well. Also Jean Seberg, Harve Presnell, Ray Walston and The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band had musical numbers which were great. The women had it rough then, doing what they had t do to get by, but the majority of men were gentlemen and any wrong doings were delt with swiftly, not like in modern day civilization. People then trusted one another, went by their word and made laws simple for everyone to understand without a lawyer. They made their own kind of paradise. When civilization came in, you had the option to stay or leave, it was your choice. The story line, scenery and music score made this movie great. Also a great trivia movie, which I thing it was the only movie that Clint Eastwood sang in.

Emma Watson a rising young star.
5 July 2002
I have enjoyed watching Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone several times so far and enjoy watching it with friends. Each time I watch the movie, Emma Watson is my favorite to watch. I have seen many young stars in my life and I do hope that Emma Watson continues her acting career. She is a diamond in the ruff, that has yet to shine. I wish her all the best in her future acting career. I look forward to seeing if I am correct in my prediction. Emma Watson a name to remember.
