Ashes of Eden (2014)
Almost a good movie
From the start to almost to the end, it was decent. Yeah, a few parts were expected to happen if you have the ability of foresight, but don't know how it will play out from there. At the end of the movie though, it seems as if the plot/script was rushed, and it leaves you wondering how some things happened.
Okay, here are the spoilers; so stop reading if you don't want to know.
Alright, so at the end of the movie as Carlos and Red start to fight while Carlos has the gun, you see Angela get shot. Yet, you don't know why she's there, how she got there. Since when the scene was progressing, it was only Red in the house until the mother and Jake show up. Carlos pops up, but you can easily assume he followed Red and Poncho there. So, that's not out of place and follows the story arc. Angela being there is totally random though. Also, why did Red end up get arrested? What was he charged with? They didn't have evidence of him selling drugs, and he didn't kill Vargas or Donny: we know Carlos did that. So you're left wondering why that happened when you'd think he'd be exonerated from those charges being as he was being set up. DNA evidence from the cigarette/joint both Carlos and Donny smoked from before Donny was killed by Carlos left at the crime scene would prove it was him at the house and not Red. (Plot hole.)
