Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013)
A very fun show to watch
This is such a great start to watch comedy sitcoms. Entertaining, easy to watch and very fun gags all over the seasons. I know that starting a series with nine seasons can be a turn off, but the seasons are really chill and the episodes run for only 20 minutes so it makes it much easier.
The characters were something else. Personal favourite, Gina, oh God, she was hillarious and definitely stole the show.
Of course, there is some good loving couples that you will adore. Gotta love Jake and Amy.
The last seasons, specially Season 9, was a little weak and missed the really fun part of the show.
Anyways, great writing, great characters and a good laugh.
Have fun, sit back and relax.
Yabani: Episode #1.36 (2024)
An okay season finale.
And we have arrived to the Season Finale with the great news that it got renewed for a S2!
It wasnt the season finale I expected. The previous episodes were much more exciting than the Season Finale but I am very much looking forward to September already to see how the story continues.
Aslaz, seriously, broke me, I didnt see it coming. Her telling him the greatest news ever and Alaz repelling her, its just not the finale I imagine. Also Yaman really pissed me off on this finale.
For next season, the screenwriters really need to step up their game in order to increase ratings. I wonder who the villian will be. September cant come soon enough!
Maxton Hall - Die Welt zwischen uns (2024)
Welcome back teen rom-coms!
Died in the 2010s , Born in 2024. Welcome back teen romcoms! As soon as you start, you will be obsessed with the story of this two.
Maxton Hall is a public school located in the UK, where Ruby Bell, is the main witness of a shared secret no one can tell. James, an arrogant billionare, has to deal with this secret, and handle his emotions for her.
Love the fact that it is in German. Makes it so much better.
Chemistry is 100% on. Their scenes are just too hot to cope with. Plus, James is a very good looking guy, and that helps a lot.
I felt like I needed more episodes, because only 6 episodes are very few. And the season finale, made me want to see much more. Looking forward for S2!
Yabani: Episode #1.35 (2024)
Yabani did it again.
Once again, what an stunning and brillant written episode. Cant believe the amount of things that happened in 2:30 hours. Its like watching a movie every single week and I am loving it.
There are a lot of storys concluding and a lot of fantastic scenes to bring up to this episode review. But I cant start it without the recognition of the incredible cast and crew working on it. And Serhans brillant performance every single week, just wow.
The confrontation scene between Serhan and Yaman was incredibly touching, moving and well. Played by its actors. Also, Cesur and Cagla and Alaz declaring his love to Asi again, actually melting.
I want to believe that next weeks will be the last, (maybe S2 incoming?, hopefully?), but I will enjoying as much as I did with this weeks.
Yabani proving why its Turkishs best, again. Bow down.
Yabani: Episode #1.34 (2024)
Dont want it to end.
My Gosh. What an episode again. What a brilliant performance by the cast again and perfectly well written.
I have to ask. What is wrong with Cagla? She gets me to my nerves! I mean girl come on, everybody around you is telling you that your father is not good and you keep on believing him. She is probably my least favourite character on the dizi.
Serhan is the baddest, but the actors performance is simply outstanding. I totally buy that he is the evil one.
Aslaz scenes!!!! Gotta love my parents, and how Alaz can keep his hands to himself.
Very much looking forward to next weeks! And could we please have a surprise next week with its renewal?
Yabani: Episode #1.33 (2024)
Stunning performances.
Here to remind you, why you should watch this ASAP. Yabani is the best drama dizi this season, it was absolutely everything it needs to be a fantastic show.
Specially, on this weeks episode, I want to recall Ruya, Simlay, was excellent on this episode, almost heartbreaking to see everyone looking for her without any hope. Also, my boy Yaman, absolutely devastated, we love you :)
Also Bertan, again, you are simply the best. Alaz Soysalan once again, being the best male in this world.
I really want to see this continuing next season, because I would love to see more about this story. Hopefully, we could get a season 2.
Bridgerton: Old Friends (2024)
Blushed all the way from the first ep till the last
A very warm welcome back to our lives Bridgerton! I have to be honest with myself, I wasnt really excited about this season, maybe because I didnt quite connect with these characters in the previous seasons, so I am fully surprised by this.
First, CHEMISTRY!!!! God knows how captivated I was by their amazing on screen chemistry. They are surreal to watch.
I also loved the fact that we get to know Francesca a bit more and they brought us back our girl Eloise to steal the show.
Colin and Penelopes scenes were just too hot to watch, they were absolutely burning for each other!
So far, it didnt dissapoint, looking forward to Part 2!
Skam France: Je vous aime (2022)
Wasnt really into this season either.
Disclaimer: This is a full S9 review not only Episode 10.
This season shares the story of Maya, who we previosuly meet in S6, passing through a break-up with her girlfriend, Lola which will lead her into a very tough depression.
To be honest, I didnt connect with this season either, I thought that the acting was incredible, specially Mayas role portraying such a difficult character to play. But I felt like the episodes were quite boring even though, they only last 20 minutes .
I also felt sometimes Maya wasnt the cental character and Lola was taking over and Lola already had her season, so I think it wasnt necessary to delve into her story.
Hope next season, which will be the last from the Secong Generation, will be much more entertaining.
Skam France: Horizons (2021)
Not so good as the previous ones.
Disclaimer: This is a full S8 review, not an episode 10 review.
This season shares the story of Bilal, a teenage boy
passionate about fashion, but in reality he is far from being a carefree teenager. He and his brother Zakaria have been on their own for a month and have been facing precariousness, homelessness and helping her "friend" Jo dealing with HIV.
From a personal point of view, I didnt find a connection with this seasons story although there were a few moments that I loved, e.g: when Bilal went to the HIV meeting just to support Jo (please adorably cute), and Bilal confronting his mom was everything! (his mom is not the greatest mom ever)
At some points, I felt that the seasons central wasnt Bilal but instead Jo, so I really was excepting for them to fathom into Bilal story a bit more.
Hopefully, I will like next season a bit more.
Yabani: Episode #1.31 (2024)
What an episode!
WE ARE SO BACK AGAIN! Yabani keeps proving why it is the best dizi on air this season. This was so much better than last weeks for so many reasons. So I beg for the Turkish audience to go and watch this show because I really need season 2 to happen!
Firstly, Bertan Asllani, NEEDS to win an award for being the best actor this season. Its just oustanding how he stands out every single episode with his performance. Alaz is the best character in so many ways, and I love to see revenge Alaz back & being the best brother for Yaman.
Could Neshillan stop suffering for once? Please, I need her to be happy so bad. Also, I dont feel Ruya is doing the right thing by not telling Yaman and protecting her mother for no reason.
Sooooo much looking forward for next week. Its going to be an epic one.
Skam France: Le Village (2021)
WOW! Actually one of my favourite seasons
Disclaimer: This is a fully S7 review not only episode 10.
This season tells the story of Tiffany, a girl who is a victim of a pregnancy denial, so through the episodes you will see her fighting against it and also being a grown-up adult when she is dealing with high school events.
This season was really touching and moving for me, the character development regarding her and her relationship with her mom was amazing. Also, Max, a teenager trasgrander boy who came into Tiffs life to make it a 100% better.
Tiff is brave, she has to handle a lot of obstacles that made her wiser and stronger.
I was really touched by the last episode, couldnt stop crying watching it. And also LOVED the OG reference by the end of it.
Absolutely LOVED it from the very first till the last.
Heartbreak High (2022)
Sex Ed but make it Aussie.
Heartbreak high is the kinda show you needed but you didnt realize you needed it.
The series follows the students and teachers of Hartley High as they navigate racial tensions in Australia, high school romances, and all sorts of teen angst.
It shows many aspects about daily teenagers during their high school years. You will find romance for sure, adictions and school drama involving the main characters of the show.
It is a 2022 reboot from a 90s series, so the whole 80s - 90s vibe will be present in it. It has two seasons with 8 episodes each so it is really simple and fast to watch, thats a pro!
Why did I mention Sex Ed? Because it is very much relatable to Sex Education, dealing with the same stuff and also all of the students are forced to attend a new sexual education course called the Sexual Literacy Tutorial, pretty similiar in a way to what happens at Sex Ed.
So, in conclusion, if you liked Sex Ed, you will for sure like this show.
P. S: Cash and Darren all time favourites!
Heartbreak High: Boys Don't Cry (2024)
Great plot for this season!
When I first started the season I wasnt really into it, but throughout the season the plot started to feel better with a great season finale.
Personally, I loved Spiders character development and how he discovered not to be a complete idiot in front of a girl. Amerie, Malakai and Rowan s love triangle was OK but sometimes quite boring so sometimes I didnt find it pleasing to watch.
Also Ca$h and Darren are my favourite couple on the show and I felt lack of scenes of the two together.
As I mentioned previously, season finale is the best episode on this brand new season being entertaining until the very last minute of it.
Looking forward for a next season, (maybe?) to see what happens next with Rowan, Malakai and also with Harltley High.
The Fault in Our Stars (2014)
Perfect book adapation.
I was truly worried about this one. John Greens novel, "The Fault in Our Stars" is one of my favourite books, so I was a bit concered about the movie adaptation. Thank God, John was involved in it and it was everything I expected it to be.
Augustus and Hazel Grace are two teenagers whom are suffering from cancer and they casually meet each other during a support group meeting and they start sharing their experiences and eventually, they will fall in love. Their scenes are really special.
You will defintely cry, this aint a comedy film, but I feel this movie sumarize what truly love, in all its forms.
The Notebook (2004)
Perfect love story
This is not the classic cheesy love story that you think it is. Do not judge the movie by its cover!
Noah and Allie are two teenagers who fall in love during the summer in the 1940s. Their story is read from a notebook in the present day by an elderly man, telling the tale to a fellow nursing home resident.
This is a MUST watch. Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling have a burning chemistry that crosses the screen. It is filled with sentimental moments and an impossible love story that will make you feel attached from the very beginning.
This is truly what first love is like. This became a classic already so if you are a rom-com addict, this is should be your first option always.
Yabani: Episode #1.30 (2024)
We are so back!
This weeks episode is way much better than the previous one, but unfortunately, it doesnt show in the ratings yet.
The thing that I loved the most about this brand new episode was the touch of humor added in it, Yaman and Alaz scenes trying to find out who their mom was dating was hillarious (Also, Yaman and Alaz being buddy brothers means everything to me!)
We FINALLY can see Neslihan Soysalan being happy (at least for an hour and a half haha) and GuvNes scenes were incredible. Gotta love our guy Guven.
Also, Ruya confronting her mom for the things that she did in the past was something much needed and it was really cool to see.
AsLaz being the cutest couple in this world and Alaz being the best boyfriend ever is something that keeps the viewers entertain and we want to see more about it.
The episode finale looks pretty interesting so very much looking forward for next weeks!
Bridgerton (2020)
A colossal love story.
Netflix brings to our TV an amazing love story wrote and created by Shonda Rhimes which shares the story of a family the Bridgerton seeking to find love in London s high society. It is temporarily located in the XIX century so the costumes, settings and also the music will create a special atmosphere that will keep you captivated. Short Note: The music from the series are songs that you can listen to everyday on Spotify or even radiostations adapted to the XIX century vibes, amazing!
But what is more interesting about this are the love stories that this show delivers.
In Season 1, Penelope falls for a Duke, the most charming Duke you will ever see, as she discovers the perks of being a woman in love.
In Season 2, the love triangle between Anthony, Kate and Edwina will keep you entertain, and some Kathony scenes will make you weak (trust me, chemistry is assured).
If you are a fan of love storys mixed with royal issues and a lot of gossip, this is your thing for sure.
P. S: Cant wait for S3!
Skam France: L'ombre et la lumière (2020)
Such a heartfelt season.
WARNING: I am reviewing the entire season on this last episode. I tend to review it as a whole. This aint a review of the episode.
Throughout the season, we were able to see and follow the story of Lola, a very complicated teenager, dealing with her drug addiction which brings with it a lot of family issues.
Lola has to face a lot of obstacles, but she has a lot of Guardian Angels guiding her way, Elliot and Daphne.
Lola s sister, Daphne, is the biggest pillar in Lolas life, and it was incredible to see how their relationship changed as the episodes passed. Also, I loved seeing how Elliot, pushed aside his fears to help our girl Lola feel better.
On the other hand, Maya enters her life and changes everything. Their love story is truly amazing and heartwarming, even though, many times it was absolutely irratating how Lola pushed her away.
I feel that this was the perfect ending for the First Gen of SKAM France, proven by how lovely the last scene was gathering the whole cast together.
Au revoir First Gen!
Yabani: Episode #1.29 (2024)
Not as good as the previous ones.
Not as good and here is why.
No Aslaz, boring scenes that dont add anything relevant to the main plot of the story and so low ratings again.
Besides that, the episode has some cute Ruyam scenes if you are a fan (but personally, i thought it was more a car advertisement than a love scene) and it was really lovely to see more about Cesur and Cagla s relationship. Also, it was all about GuvNes in this weeks episode.
The last two episodes were really incredible, so a bad episode always follows. I really hope that when it returns in two weeks, we can see some more Aslaz and more action and drama.
Still, this is the best dizi this season. Cant wait for next weeks!
Love, Rosie (2014)
Favourite friends to lovers film!
Love Rosie is brillant and has it all. You can say thay if you are not friends, you cant be a couple. Well, this movie is the exact example why.
I watched it several times already and I cant get enough of it.
Lily and Sam, are great friends, I guess, but also are an incredible on-screen couple, and I love to watch them working together (I am waiting for them to work togheter again soon in the future)
Sometimes, it is frustrating, because, you see that is obvious that they like each other, but they have so many obstacles that seems impossible for them to finally be together.
But as they say, true love always prevails, and you will need to watch to see if this is so.
P. S Sam Claffin was BORN to do rom-coms.
Sadakatsiz (2020)
Outstanding Cast = Great Show!
From the very first episode until the last, I was completely shook with the acting perfomances on this dizi.
The cast is absolutely what brings to life this story about betrayals, heartbreaks and revenge.
It ocurrs in Tekirdag, a small town outside Istambul, where Asya is the leader at the local hospital and she is married to Volkan, a very popular architect in Turkey. But, things are going to turn around for Asya as she founds out that her husband has been cheating on her with a much younger woman.
All though the episodes, you will experience INCREDIBLE performances by an amazing cast that I seriously bought everything that was happening, it was extremely real at a point.
Especially, I want to stand out, Melis Sezen, as Derin, she completely steals the show. She is incredible in every single way, and shot the hardest scenes to watch.
Also, Cansu Dere, the ACTRESS you are! She is an absolute legend, bow down to you!
YOU NEED TO WATCH THIS!
Me Before You (2016)
You will cry your eyes out.
Lets start by, the incredible job that Emilia did portraying Louisa, a very charismatic and giddy girl who enters into William s life after a terrible accident that will change his life.
They will live a lot of adventures together which will lead them to falling for each other being totally unexpected.
This is a book adaptation so, I will watch it worried that it wont be loyal with the book. But this aint it.
The novelist, Jojo Moyees, was involved in the screenplay of the film so I think that helped with the job of transitioning the story from the novel to the screens.
This is lovely, heart-warming and heart-breaking at the same time.
Congratulations to the whole team for making such a great rom-com! And to Sam Claffin for owning that role.
Sen Çal Kapimi (2020)
Pefectly well written love story
If you love a romance mixed with drama and amazing chemistry between the main characters in the show, this is definitely your type of show.
This was my first aproach to the Turkish tele-novela world and I completely fell for it.
Eda and Serkan are truly perfect and made for each other. Even though, they belong to different worlds, when they collide they are absolutely adoring to watch.
It has romance, comedy, drama and more romance which makes it easy to watch besides the duration of the episodes (each are 2:30 hours at least, which are are not used to)
Anyways, amazing chemistry, amazing show and Kerem & Hande are the best!
Long live Sen Cal Kapimi!
(P. S: watch it in Turkish, Kerem s voice is flawless)
Yabani: Episode #1.28 (2024)
Supreme performances. Brillant.
And then again, Yabani keeps proving why it is the best series in the Turkish world. This episode is absolutely outstading.
From the very beggining to the end, you will be captivated by the story of it. Again, Bertan Asllani showing why he is the OUTSTANDING actor he is, Aslaz has a main role on this episode and if you are an Aslaz fan, you will scream with that deadly love confession. You have some RuYam content as well.
I have to mention Dolunay here. Oh WOW, you could feel her pain when she found out about Yaman, seriously moving and touching.
Perhaps, my least favourite part of the episode is the end of it, looked like the series was ending.
P. S: Cesur YOU ARE THE MAN! Thank you for defending your boys in the way that you did.
Skam (2015)
Never seen before.
This show came to change the industry and the way they create series.
The format of it is complety different from what we ve seen before and its the touch that makes this special and different.
It narrates the life of young teenagers in a high school in Oslo, Norway and it shows how they struggle to get through their teenage years in the best way possible.
The innovative thing about this show is that was contained by clips that aired during the exact time and exact hour as the characters were doing the thing that was happening on the clip so you could feel that you were involved in it.
Each season has a different main character.
Season One: We have Eva (Personal Rating: 7/10)
Season Two: Noora and her love life with schools most popular William ( PR: 10/10)
Season Three (everyones favourite): Isak & Even (PR: 10/10 and absolutely life changing scenes I still watch till these days).
Season Four: Sana (Important: She is Muslim and its great to see some culture specific things).
Anyways, these show is life changing, you wont regret it watching it. I have watched several times specially S2 and S3 and I would love to bring back the feeling I had when I first watched it.
