CBS Schoolbreak Special: Hear Me Cry (1984)
Sheer Brilliance
Although the subject matter about teenage suicide can at times be highly depressing, this After School Special handles the topic with much care and sensitivity. David (Lee Montgomery - Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Mutant, Ben, Burnt Offerings, Prime Risk, Into the Fire) and Craig (Robert MacNaughton - E.T., I am the Cheese) are students with nothing in common, except for the fact they both wish to end their youthful lives. Brilliantly performed all round, especially by Montgomery. Terrific in all aspects and highly recommended.
If You Only Knew (1999)
Lighthearted and Warmhearted
The actors are appealing, the storyline is appealing, plus numerous genuine laughs. A must-see when you're having a quiet night in with your girlfriend or wife. Jonathon Schaech portrays his character with shear delight and is most convincing. Alison Eastwood is equally as good as the apple of his eye.
Whipped (2000)
Whip the creators!!!
Except for the very beautiful Amanda Peet, the remainder of this pathetic excuse for a film involves three egotistical jerks who think they're God's gift to women. With guys such as these, it's no wonder more females are climbing the fence!!!
Day of the Woman (1978)
Repellant, repulsive, repugnant!
This film has an apparent cult following, and I did say apparent. A symbolical plot revolves around a young writer who becomes the greenhorn of a brutal attack - TWICE!!! Tables then soon turn when she takes vengeance on the cretins responsible. However, I believe this debris is applicable for the more undiscerning viewer!
Hot Chili (1985)
Cold Chili More Like It!
Made by the folks at Cannon, this film is just a rehash, or should I say, rip-off of the brilliant Last American Virgin, The (1982), even featuring Joe Rubbo, who played the hapless David in the original. Four randy teens head to Mexico for the summer taking employment in a hotel resort, each of course, hoping to get women into the infamous sack. Plenty of T & A to keep the youthful ones happy, but really, it's no wonder why the teen sex comedy genre died in the ass!
Gimme an 'F' (1984)
Tits jiggle and asses wiggle!
If viewing cheerleaders turns you no, then go watch a football game. You'd have none and buckleys chance of transforming "The Ducks" into a winning combination. However, filming such a movie as this would have been I guess - fascinating! Especially to be surrounded by numerous girls, which is hopefully why Mark Keyloun signed on for this idiocy. I, too, as an actor, would've done the same thing without regarding the consequences to follow afterwards. Perhaps, I may have never worked again in Hollywood, like most of this cast!
