Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (2004)
Best Military based game I've ever played!
This is by far the best Stealth game ever created. Not only does it have excellent game-play, but it explains the Origins of The Big Boss A.K.A "Snake". It's not only a Steath game, but a survival game as well. In order to stay alive you have to find food. And what better food in the Jungle than Animals. You can eat a variety of creatures such as Fish, snakes, birds, toads, and basically anything you can get your hands that breaths(except people). But keep it to long it expires and if snake eats it, you can get sick and die. HOW COOL IS THAT?!
Another thing I really dig in this amazing game is the variety of Camoflauge you can wear. Everything from Treebark(which is my favorite), to Tigerstripe, to moss, and to White Kubuki masks! Its best if you choose the Cameo that fits the environment. There's even down loadable camos. If you have a game adapter, just pop the game in, plug the adapter into your PC and find a site that you can download from. I think there is a Mummy cameo, your life goes down slower and you can take more damage, Grenade cameo, it gives you infinite grenades, and a Santa suit that keeps you warm in cold environments.
This game has the best storie line in the entire Metal Gear series. The bosses are incredible. There's a spider type guy, a dead eye sharp shooter, and even a GHOST! There are tones of other bosses to face too.
All in All, one of my favorite video games and an incredible installment to the Metal Gear Solid series. 10 stars out of 10 all the way.
Survivorman (2004)
Best survival guide show ever!
This show is so cool. I don't think there is any other T.V show out there that can compare to this. Les is such a great guy. He puts himself in life and death situations and films it all too. Even though his life is on the line in every adventure, he still makes it very entertaining and sometimes adds a little humor into it to. Some off the survival techniques he shows us is very extreme and should not be attempted by anyone unless in real danger. Thats another thing about the show that I love, its all real. Non of it is planed out or set up. Some off the stuff he does is pretty Gross too(like eating raw bugs!) But the main purpose off the show is to show you how to survive in the wild and in dangerous situations. You have to give this guy some credit.
Halloween (2007)
Great movie, one remake that will be a classic one day.
I thought RZ's Halloween was a fantastic adaption to a classic horror film. This was definitely a remake that was well thought out instead of just re-shooting scenes with different actors. RZ directed this perfectly, I don't think John Carpenter would of let RZ do this if he didn't think he would do a good job.
The prequel part was amazingly well thought out and explains everything you didn't know about Michael Myers' path to madness. RZ also went to the extreme with gore. Almost all the killings were filled with grizzly violence and gruesome shots of the victim.
The remake part was a lot better in my opinion than that of the original. RZ really made Michael Myers look like what a psychopath looks like. In Carpenters version, Michael is to well groomed. In RZ he has tattered clothes and robes, wood tied to his dirty feet with rags, long greasy gray hair and the most terrifying paper mache mask I've every seen. Even when he gets his new threads he is scary. The coveralls are brown and dirty and covered in blood from it's previous owner(Joe Grizzly). The William Shatner Mask a.k.a "The Shape Mask" is a lot more detailed than just a plain old white mask. It's brownish-yellow, dirty and rotten. The kitchen knife is old, rusty, bent up and sharp.
RZ also changed the fact that Myers can't drive. But in one scene we actually see him run abit.
I think that you will definitely see a difference in the remake part. It is nothing like the original at all. The original is more suspenseful and gives you the "cover your eyes cause you don't know whats gonna happen next even though you've seen it ten times" feeling while RZ version is much more gruesome and explicit and gives you the "cover your eyes cause this is the most goreyest movie I've ever seen" feeling.
All in all this was a great movie. The only problem I have with it is the extreme use of language and especially the "F" word used throughout the film. But other than that... I don't say this much but... this was the greatest horror movie I've seen in a long time. Watch it or not,The choice is yours.
