Emma. (2020)
A grotesque parody of a huge classic
From the first scenes you realise you're watching a non-serious version of Emma. However, the parody keeps getting weirder and boring that by half an hour you give up and abandon every hope in finishing the movie.
Oxygène (2021)
Painfully slow
The plot is exactly as you e read in the previous, only with a painfully slow story telling...
From the first scenes it is obvious the main character keeps wasting her time with unnecessary actions and questions, instead of trying to focus on her situation.
Even the telephone dialogues were ridiculous, as the main character never asks the important questions. The writers are just trying to waste time.
The plot and "twists" were not difficult to predict - in fact they were expected - up to the last moment!
It's a pity the creators wasted a nice idea on a badly-made movie.
Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel (2021)
All these episodes ... for a predictable story.
Without spoiling anything: any observant viewer can guess what exactly happened. However, the documentary keeps trying to distract you with silly information and goes round and round on unnecessary information.
A waste of time, really. And the saddest part is that the creators, managed to transform such a sad tragic incident to one of the most boring and messy documentary.
The Harder They Fall (2021)
A poor imitation of Tarantino's work.
I didn't mind the weird facts in the movie, like finding fresh fruits (and winter fruits) in the desert, or the fact that it's a fantasy-style western. However, the story plot kept taking different turns that it made me wonder what exactly was this movie about.
Then comes the bit with the "smart-sounding" dialogues that tried to imitate the ones in Tarantino's films.
Not to mention that... previously I never understood when Tarantino kept claiming that violence is an art. Watching "The harder they fall", made me understand that violence is an art indeed... an art missing from this movie.
The Mind, Explained (2019)
Shallow, not scientific and disappointing
I was expecting a deeper analysis and explanation, possibly a scientific program. Instead I found a completely shallow TV show with hardly any scientific evidence.
Very poor and ideal mainly for housewives dying cooking time.
