Star Trek: Discovery (2017)
A worthy continuation
As any good Star Trek, this series is boldly taking on a new perspective to tell a story of deeply-rooted optimism. While this got only spelled out in the last episode, Michael Burnham's unwavering character never let me doubt that we'd get there through all the darkness.
I also love the acting, the production, the new design of the Klingons, the intro (which I watch through every time), everything. I don't know whether Michael Burnham will make it to the rank of captain in the course of the series, but to me she's already a worthy successor (or predecessor) of Kirk, Picard, Cisco, and Janeway.
Clubbed to Death (Lola) (1996)
charming
Although one could consider this just another balieu-movie, it takes a charming, atmospheric approach to the scene, focusing on the night life. It moves on slowly, content is given more by situations than dialogues. In fact, no more words than actually necessary are spoken. Not a masterpiece, but charming to watch, especially at home late at night.
