This is not the TV show of the year, but it is stable from the beginning till the end, without a sudden quality drop.

This is refreshing as it is a true French TV show, with all the cultural elements wrapped into it.

In brief, you're having a nice time, a nice family time.

By the way, the music (OST) is good too (i.e. Sweet electro).

I must admit that actors are good.

The story, unfortunately true and unpleasant is the backbone of the scenario.

The direction however, is dull, weak and lame. The director should have emphasised way more on the emotional part, digging into it.

Instead, he revealed every 10 minutes a new victim, over and over, without much interest (a little bit like when I open my mail, filled with dullness and invoices).

My grade: 3/3 for acting 3/3 for the unpleasant story of how old-fashion is the catholic church 1/1 for not including Woke, Gay couples or cancel culture 0/3 for direction.

Kind of very boring if you are not into motorbikes.

If you ask me: why did you watch then?

Well, I'm not into farming, and yet Clarkson's farm (on Amazon) was very good.

It could have been the same here, except is dull.

My grade: 3 points for the 35 seconds of punch line with Ewan Mc Gregor (first 2 minutes of Ep 1).

1 point for the Dakar people.

First 3 episodes are awesome : 9/10 The following 3 are shallow, nothing happens: 2/10 For the ending, I really think that my 5 year-old nephew wrote it, as the end is just like him: stupid, shallow and far-reaching.

To start your race (i.e. TV series) very well and crash it like this, you've really got to be high (or be friend with my nephew).

For the comedy part, I smiled 2-3 times but it was not funny enough for me to laugh.

The Scenario is alright, but not the best.

Production is pretty good.

In brief, it is slightly above average.

I surely won't watch it a second time.

It would have been better if A. Dupontel would have felt free to actually be funny (using second degree and black humor).

It had enough to keep me going until the end.

Scenario is good, but definitely not great.

Characters are probably the best part...with good acting.

Production is alright but could have been better.

This show is like Champagne: it has a good appeal, but in the end it's just sparkling wine, possibly sweet...and white grapes (better than Rosé but worse than Red)...Yes Champagne: 6/10.

There are a lot of holes in the plot...Many, maybe too many.

But I had a nice time, which is the objective of entertainment.

My grade: Acting (Korean style): 3/3 Scenario (some flaws): 2/3 Production (inconsistencies): 2/3 No cancel culture, gay couples, or save the planet BS: 1/1.

The Rooster played very well for a rooster.

I didn't get the Clint Eastwood part really: he can barely walk and he's supposed to be cool. At least Clint was acting right.

For the kid, he played very bad.... Real fake acting. I trust he got his acting certificate in a Kelloggs box.

Scenario is shallow.

The topic is nice and interesting for a documentary.

However, I don't understand why it was shot in a 2x2-hour format.

Honestly, 1h30 would have been enough...as you simply don't have material and data for that much (4-hour).

My grade: 5 points for the content 1 point for Michael Jackson who did great music and who was an addict.

Apart from the business aspect, which is very stupid, the show is good.

I had a nice time.

It shows how struggling running a farm is.

But Mr. Clarkson, being a millionaire, has the luxury to play around.

In other words, I think a real farmer would find this show a real joke (somewhat insulting for professionals).

But a bloke like me, who can barely feed a fish in a bowl, enjoys it.

Season 1 is nice, I had a nice time.

Season 2, there is not much scenario. They are just shooting scenes around, showing stories and events that bring nothing to the real story.

The director is just very short on the story and try to make the last 5 pages of the book into 10 episodes.

Still, season 1 is worth it...just stick to it and stop there.

Entertaining and fresh. My grade is 9 based on this: Good acting 3/3 Good scenario 2/3 Good production 3/3 No gay couple or cancel culture 1/1.

British movie, very similar to "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels"

I enjoyed season 1 as well as season 2 and 3.

Scenario is ok and still makes sense until the end of season 3: 3 our of 4 Actors are also good: 2 out of 2 Production is pretty good and above average: 3 out of 4.

Final grade: 8

The best surprise was probably that Kevin C. Is still alive. I have seen a good movie with him since...hum....like a long time ago (I thought he was dead already).

The scenario is not original at all...I won't spoil it....so it's like an action movie with the nice Amercicans against the bad Russians (ideally with some nuclear weapon somewhere in the film).

In brief, the scenario has been seen so many times: not a second of originality.

The actors are ok.

Production is pretty good, taken into consideration the very week scenario and the "ok" actors.

Just barely worth the average, hence my 5.

Well, the costumers are crazy good (note: cynicism)

I won't waste any more of my time, just 4 words: Boring, Shallow, Not funny.

Well, I can't say it is bad...But it is lacking something.

I hardly managed to watch it until the end.

It is the perfect movie for French critics: small production, very smart, and kind of boring.

However, the title "Eté 85" / "Summer of 85" is not *French enough". For this kind of movies, the titles are usually something like James Bond's ones: "Don't forget your pullover, your mother is sick* or "Buy me a flower, there is a flood".

Note: other people can be psyched, but I watched too many of these French movies.

En bref, le film est quand même assez nul.

I had an "ok" time. It was not great, but it was alright.

It is a little bit like watching "National Geographic". You travel in space...and you can enjoy 5.1 audio.

My grade is 6 (2 for the pictures and space landscapes, 1 for audio, 1 for B. Pitt., 2 for the fact they did not add no gay couples or rewrote the history with the 2021 mindset)

After more than 2000 movies and 25 years of cinema, I can tell you it is stupid, but it does the job: makes you laugh.

Nice combo between Will and Mark.

The best moment was like: Mark: "Bye Sheila" Will: "Bye" Mark: "Yeah, whatever, go back inside"

If you hesitate, watch it and make up your mind.

I thought I was smart until I watched this movie. Now, there are two options: I need to understand I am dumb, or the movie is so complicated and smart that the viewer is "always" lost on what is going on.

As Einstein put it: "if someone does not understand, either you don't understand what you are explaining or you don't know how to explain.

Did Chris not understand his own movie and was lost in the limbo of Sci-FI or getting old makes him dumb (like my grand-father)

Actors play ok, the story is also ok. But the producer did a really good job as I really felt the emotions down to my stomach...like with "The Notebook" (2014)

I watched it until the end. I can't say I did not like it...but it's still a boring indie movie. I'm sure the French critics loved it: it is both smart and indie. The producer should have done the movie in 45 minutes, it would have been way enough.... as the scenario is very shallow. To conclude, I have lost 45 minutes of my life.

I don't understand how you can rate it above 3 or 4. I still hesitate between Stupid and Lame...or whether the movie is more stupid than lame, or the other way around. Anyway, if you like empty movie, it is for you. If you prefer good acting and good scenario, try "The Queen's Gambit" and if you want something simple but refreshing, try "The Spacewalker" (better to watch it in Russian with subtitle:"Vremya pervykh")

I found it interesting for the wrong reason: the psychology is interesting. The coach is a psycho (manipulator)...She does not care about the kids...She just cares about herself and winning. Poor kids honestly, with a coach like this! She lets kids train when they are hurt. She says things like: I won....but WE lost.
