Vincent (2005–2006)
Vincent, I am in awe of thee.
19 April 2007
Ever since I saw "Sexy Beast," I knew that Ray Winstone was a great actor. And finally after BBC America(thanks TIVO/DVR)started showing "Vincent," this was confirmed. Ray never seems to get the chance in the supporting roles he does in American films, but I think that his performance on the show is award worthy. On one hand, you have this macho yet intelligent private eye. And on the other, you have a flawed, and extremely vulnerable man, who seems to live in the shadows of his past. Either learning from his mistakes and choices, or still suffering from them. With help from slick(but not overtly)cinematography, and up to date and real dialog, the show is allowed to sparkle. Catch it if you can, you'll thank me.

The Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror XVII (2006)
Season 18, Episode 4
You just lost another fan.
6 November 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I try and try to see that The Simpsons can be timeless. But for the past 3 years or so, all of you comedy writing "geniuses" do nothing but attack President Bush and his policies. And this was never more apparent than in the "War of the Worlds," spoof. I mean come on, there are countless number of things in the world to poke fun at, and all they do there is go after the same old one trick pony. You used to be inventive and groundbreaking, now you are a tired dinosaur. Why don't you take a page from "American Dad," and have some fun on both sides. Or even "Family Guy," and actually mix in things OTHER THAN POLITICS. I don't watch comedy for political commentary, I watch it to escape a little. If I wanted to see the same old material regurgitated by a once great has been mixed in with Bush bashing, I'd go see a Barbara Streisand concert!

Scott Hanks has what it takes!
12 December 2004
Quite frankly, I haven't seen the film, but I did have to opportunity to star alongside Scott in our last film "Jupiter Landing." He is fresh, inventive, and one of the finest actors I have ever worked with. If his performance in "Mallory," is anything like what we did in "Jupiter Landing," I'm sure it's a must see! Scott is one of those actors who isn't afraid to do a scene different every time, and make a director's and actor's job so much easier. There's nothing worse than having a stale performance to try and work off of. My only regret is that we didn't have more scenes together. Scott Hanks will be a steady working actor for a long time, keep your eyes open and enjoy his work!
