Average Movie
22 March 2022
This is neither a great movie nor a bad movie. It's just about average. I was surprise by either 10 Star or 1 Star reviews and that prompted me to watch it. I think both 10 Star & 1 Star reviews are biased. 10 Star reviews are probably by Pro-Arab/Palestine viewers and 1 Star reviews are probably by Jewish Pro-Israel viewers and I am none of them. This movie was made in 2009 and based on that photography and sound quality is about average. Acting is mediocre but not terrible. Movie suffers from bad story, the ending is very predictable. This movie is kind of similar to Sally Field movie "Not Without My Daughter" with some action sequences thrown in. All in all, one time watch movie.

Worst Movie of All Times
12 May 2020
This is by far the worst movie ever made in Bollywood. Please don't waste your time on this. Jacqueline Fernandez is the worst actress and Shirish Kunder the worst director. I have no idea what is Manoj Bajpayee doing in this movie. Script is extremely weak and Jacqueline does not act but overact. Dialogue delivery is again a downgrade of this movie. I am very sure Shirish is so desperate that he's paying or asking his friends to put give good reviews but if those viewers think that this is an amazing/awesome movie as some have said then I pity those viewers taste in movies. In fact, not only should Shirish stop directing movies but it should be made a crime for him to direct a movie ever again. If he ever directs a movie again, he should be sentenced to a year home arrest and only allowed to watch his own movies, I bet you in just a month after watching his movies, he will go crazy. Too bad there is no negative stars for this movie otherwise I would give it -10.

Don't Waste Your Time
29 October 2019
This is one of the worst movies ever. Acting is so dumb and so is the story idea. Within half an hour you know that Rajkumar is going to be the murderer, no matter how hard they tried to make it a mystery. Raj Kumar is a good actor, no idea why he signed up for this movie. The less said about Kangana the better. At best she is a below average actor. Only reason she keeps on getting movies is because she is Queen of controversy not because of her talent. Ever since she directed the dud Manikarnika, her below average acting skills are going down hill faster than an avalanche. Please don't waste your time. I pity the folks who spent money to watch this movie in the cinema halls.

Happy New Year (I) (2014)
Worst Movie Ever Made
28 December 2014
This is one of the worst movies ever to come out of Bollywood. Just because it made lots of money does not mean that it is a good movie. Most of the money was made due to huge sums of money spent on marketing and shows prior to the release of the movie. Farah Khan and Sajid Khan have the copyrights to make the worst movies in the industry. The story line of this movie is flawed. Why do they always have to characters which are bumbling, drunk, part deaf, have seizures and don't even speak properly. Jackie Shroff (Charan Grover) needed to be robbed, as he was so foolish that he couldn't even recognize Nandu as his son's double. The songs were too many, movie could easily have been cut short by at least 45 minutes. Poor direction and acting. Boman Irani otherwise such a good actor, lost on count of poor script. Vivan Shah was miscast in the movie. I don't think there is negative stars given for any movie, but to this one I give -10 stars. I am so glad did not watch this movie in the theaters.

Awesome Movie
10 December 2014
This is by far the best Punjabi movie ever made on this topic of relationship between a mother and son who suffered during the troubled 80s. Acting was excellent and so were the songs. Only the second half was bit slow and the director got carried away in trying to combine politics and terrorism. Second half was also too long, the movie could have been cut short by at least 15 minutes. The songs were very touchy and were there as per the situation. Dilijit Dosanjh, Kirron Kher both played their parts well. But the surprises were Rana Ranbir and Pawan Malhotra. Rana Ranbir did full justice and Pawan Malhotra played it so well that you actually hate that guy, that is acting. I am from the Majha area and could relate very well to all the places mentioned in the movie not to forget the Majhail dialict in the movie from the extras (the villagers). A very sincere attempt to share the sorrows of the mothers/fathers who lost their sons (Hindus/Sikhs and Policemen) and some of them don't even know what happened to them. The last lady showed at end titles, who does not even have a photo of her son, as she has lost her mental balance and gets agitated when reminded about her son, brought tears to my eyes. These great mothers still suffer for no fault of theirs. Kudos to the neighbours of this lady, who take care of her.

Romeo Ranjha (2014)

Don't waste your time.
8 December 2014
This is the most ridiculous Punjabi movie ever made. At the end there was a message that the scam will continue. Please Navaniat Singh, don't torture us no more. Direction is awful along with the acting. The only saving grace is Monica Bedi, she did a good job.The script is extremely weak. The movie is so predictable, I am sorry I had to waste 2 hours watching this movie. Even the action scenes are a major headache and make you wonder, what the director was thinking when making this movie? The movie is full of flaws, why did not Reet Kaur shoot Romeo and Ranjha when they were escaping after stealing the diamond? Mrs. Mittal says she knew in the first place that Punjab Police couldn't take care of the diamond, why did then she agree to give it to them. And what was the occasion of bringing the diamond to India in the first place? There were no dignitaries present at the function. The Police force was only present at the function, if the diamond was so important, why were there no policemen outside to guard the place. Listen to this dialogue of Yograj Singh " Main tuahno aisi maut maranga ke 7 pustan yaad rakhan giyan". Well if you are going to kill them, how will their 7 generations remember?

Remake of a Punjabi movie
2 December 2013
The first half is a complete remake of Punjabi movie "Tera Mera Ki Rishta" released in 2009 with Amrik Gill as the writer. They have made some changes to the second half. Overall the movie was too predictable, acting was OK, only the song with Prabhudeva had a good dance steps, the rest were just OK. Cinematography was good. Both Naseer and Zakir Hussain were wasted, they are such good actors but were miscast. Girish's role was done by Jimmy Sheirgill, Shruti Hassan's by Kulraj Randhawa, Randhir Kapoor's by Anupam Kher, Poonam Dhillon's by Archana Puran Singh, Sonu Sood's by Raj Babbar (who played the girl's father instead of brother) in the original Punjabi movie It would have been better if they had acknowledged that this is inspired from the Punjabi movie "Tera Mera Ki Rishta"
