A Walk to Remember (2002)
a must see movie for all those hopeless romantics
A Walk To Remember is my favorite movie. i thought it was excellent. the hot shot popular guy and the nobody girl who everyone makes fun of fall in love and shane west and mandy moore do a great job of portraying landon and jamie as in the book, and also do a marvelous job of getting you to fall in love w/ them too. it is a definite feel good movie that makes you smile, laugh, and cry. i read a review on this movie and the bottom line said it was forgettable. well me, being a movie buff and all, could not forget about it. it was said that mandy moore sings "only hope" on stage with only a piano for music and on the soundtrack she's backed by a string orchestra, who cares?! i never agree with movie critics and some say a movie stinks if one little thing is not realistic, that doesnt mean the movie is horrible, i mean it is a movie, not real life, who cares!? this is a must see movie for all those who are hopelessly romantic.
Crossroads (2002)
excellent movie titled Crossroads not Britney Spears
despite the fact that britney isn't a golden globe winning actress, i think she did a decent job. i give her credit for going and giving it a try. i honestly really liked the movie. it had a good story line and i loved it. i walked out of the theater happy. the fact the others are discriminating against the film because britney spears was in it is not fair to the film itself. basically some are saying it was horrible because britney was in it, she was just one of the actors in it, i believe the movie is titled CROSSROADS not BRITNEY SPEARS. yea it had a lot of singing and song in it, what did you expect, a pop singer was in the movie, she was one of the main characters. a lot of the negative feedback was by non britney fans (who even descriminated against her music, what that has to do w/ the movie is beyond me)and i feel they should get pass that and see the movie for what it is. a typical teen flick that deserves credit.
Crazy/Beautiful (2001)
A quality movie
i thought this movie was A quality. i couldn't wait for it to come out to buy. i'm a sucker for the story line of goody goody meets and falls in love with the bad girl/guy. some say "this isn't realistic, how could that be if he didn't do this, etc..." hello! it's a movie. honestly think and tell me what movie is 100% realistic (besides of course those based on true events). that's why it's a movie. i thought kirsten dunst and jay hernandes shined on the screen together. one of the top movies on my list.
Pearl Harbor (2001)
All Star Cast = All Star Performance
Peal Harbor was one of the best films of the year. On a tight budget to make the film, I thought the entire cast and crew did a remarkable job of telling the story of what happened on the December morning, but still managed to incorporate a love triangle story line. I think adding in the love story, was a way to warm you up to character of the 40's and showed how they who were involved in Pearl Harbor reacted and felt. An all star cast, including Josh Hartnett, Ben Affleck, Kate Beckinsale, Cuba Gooding Jr., Alec Baldwin, Jon Voight, and Dan Akroyd, put on a magnificent performance.
