Great Performances All Round, but too high om sentimentality!
1 January 2003
This movie is a remake of the 1950 film of the same name. Steve Martin is very well cast in this and Diane Keaton too. But on the whole, Father Of The Bride is a little bit too sentimental and gooey! At the end you're literally sick! Some people may like this and others (like myself) may not be all that keen, but anyways it is a charming movie that all the family can enjoy. Great performances.

At Long Last, Jasper At His Best
26 November 2002
At last! Fair enough there have been quite a few other Jasper programmes such as commercial breakdown, Canned Carrott and One Jasper Carrott, but Jasper (aka Robert Davies) is at his best here with his down-to-earth, stand-up, clean-cut comedy. It's a six part so it covers quite a lot of ground and issues which will have you laughing out loud. It just shows how one man (with hardly any props at all) can make people laugh aloud with joy and make some well-earned money doing what he does best. 10/10

A MASTERPIECE
16 September 2002
This is UNDENIABLY one of the greatest action movies I've ever seen. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS FLOPPED AT THE BOX OFFICE! Arnie is at his wisecracking/comic/action best in this picture and there's a fantastic supporting cast too! The film includes many cameos from other movie stars like Chevy Chase, James Belushi, Tom Noone (THE RIPPER), Jean-Claude Van Damme and many other! GET IT NOW!!!! 10/10

An Uncomfotable mix of Comedy and Violence
16 September 2002
In it's day, I liked this movie. Arnie in an action comedy set in lovely Astoria, Oregan. But, all in all, this movie is pretty violent and probably should warrant 18 label. It's a good enough story, but it's all a little 'up and down'...ONE minute it's all action and violence the next it's all lovey duvvey and comic. I don't get it! You'll probably only enjoy this movie if you're an ARNIE DIEHARD, if otherwise please give this is a miss.

Butterflies (1978–1983)
Absolutely Horrible!
10 September 2002
I just have to say that this sitcom is possibly one of the worst comedies to ever come out of the UK. It's tacky, plastic...where the hell have they got these awful actors from? Find out and send 'em back! Seriously, maybe you'll like to give this one a try but i wouldn't really bother as it's unfunny, bland and repetetive. If anyone reading this should want to check out a British comedy make it ONLY FOOLS AND HORSES or THE DETECTIVES. A hundred times better than this rubbish. 0/10 (!)

Blow-Up (1966)
Not a Brilliant Film...I only Watched it to see Jeff Beck!
10 September 2002
Not a bad film all in all, quite edgy and set in swinging sixties London. I have seen the film itself the whole way through only once as it was so depressing. The best moment is when Jeff Beck (guitarist in Yardbirds) smashes his guitar against the amp, then proceeding to throw it out to the audience. WHAT A SCENE!! Apart from that great moment, David Hemmings is basically a bore to watch; plastic and dim. This film does not make a whole lot of sense but it's worth watching it for that moment ALONE.

Classic Music Show. Very Good
19 August 2002
I'm too young to have seen this first time round, but I watched 'The Old Grey At 30' and it does features some classic artistes such as John Lennon, Rory Gallagher, Alex Harvey Band, Alice Cooper and Curtis Mayfield. Sound quality was never the best on the Old Grey, but classic music nonetheless. :-)

Very Funny Stuff!
19 August 2002
This is my favourite in the 'carry on' series. The laughs keep coming thick and fast. All the usual characters feature which is an excellent thing, each player fitting perfectly in the story. It's an extremely fun british comedy to watch so...9/10

Delirious (1991)
B.R.I.L.L.I.A.N.T

This is one superb movie. I can watch it over and over and over again without tiring of it. John Candy is as engaging and as superbly comic as ever in this little gem. Also has a great cast including Emma Samms, Charles Rocket, Raymond Burr and Mariel Hemingway. ONE TO WATCH!

Worzel Gummidge (1979–1981)
I Loved IT!!
11 August 2002
This is a fantastic children's TV programme. It's about the title character; a walking, talking, messy, clumsy scarecrow called Worzel who comes to life in Scatterbrook Farm. This programme includes a fine cast including Geoffrey Bayldon, Charlotte Coleman, Mike Berry and Una Stubbs as the ONE AND ONLY Aunt Sally (Worzel's INTENDED!) Fantastic show and a 10/10 job no question!!
