Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: Hegemony (2023)
Can someone explain ...
This was a good episode! But what is bugging me (and I have seen it in a lot of series): if something explodes in spaces, why does the debris stay in its place? There's no gravity, the explosion propulses it, why doesn't it just fly away?
Apart from that, I'm happy no Klingons are singing. I'm sorry, but these episodes with (let's call them) experiments tend to mess with my Star Strek world as I build it in my head while I'm watching. And as funny it can be to others, it is just not original: a lot of other shows did it as well, and not only sci-fi shows. But ... to each its own!
And ... here's Scotty!

Use some Europeans
The main reason I want to quit following this series is the way it makes me angry. They don't talk with each other, they don't share their experiences, they are so not analytic about everything, they DON'T TALK!
I have seen this in more soap operas like this and it makes me wonder why the writers like this path; clearly they must know the sentiment I'm describing. Is it because their main audience isn't just clever enough?
As to my title, yes, I firmly believe that in essence there's quite a difference as to how Dutch, Norwegian, Swedish or German people would handle this. They are way more analytical. I would like to see a remake of this in Europe.
Btw, I think I will still be watching. If only to see if there's any genius standing up.
The Good Doctor: The Good Boy (2023)
Go Lea!
Precious episode with a dog as a main character. I completely can sympathize with Lea. I'm curious to see how, after their son is born, their household will be expanded (or not).
Shame though on the dog owners: why not have your dog chipped when you live in a rural environment whre it can easily happen that your dog runs away?
And shame, double shame, on the hit-and-run driver!
On a sidenote: I just finished watching all episodes of 'Leonardo', when I learned that Freedie was a recurring character. It was strange to see him act as a 'normal' person, but I also detected some traits in his acting style that come back as Shaun.
The Following: Exposed (2015)
So trivial
Yet another set of followers. Same kind of murders. Lots of bystanders killed. I find it all just much the same. With this formula, a series like this can go on-and-on...
All these obvious pitfalls they just walk in, eyes wide open. It's almost an insult to the viewer. One example: when Neil gets out of his car after being crashed into by Hardy, he walks out with a gun in his hands. Following the conversation, it's clear that Neil has nothing to lose, he's willing to die. So why not let the cops shoot me? When they could have taken him out by just one bullet in the leg! But no, the cliché unfolds: Neil raises his gun and everybody starts shooting like mad, aiming for the heart.
I'm done with The Following, will not be following anymore.
