I cried hard over this amazing movie
5 November 2012
Warning: Spoilers
I am definitely putting this amazing movie into my top 3 fav animations. There was so much laughter and so many tears. If you have not watched it, you should see it. Trust me and many other reviewers. It is a game changer and I have not been touched so deeply for a while. Sometimes I wonder about how much you would give up to become a true man. Ralph did it and that was just beautiful! I do not remember playing this particular game before. However, I do recognize the many similarities this game has towards many other games I have played. It is probably as good as "toy story", if not better than it!! Disney is picking up the game.Even the short story before the featured movie was such a great one. I think the "paper man" echoes with the "Wreck-It Ralph" movie in a sense that both found the missing part of their heart and both revealed the brightest side of their "personality". Being lonely can be a hard feeling, especially while you feel that others are enjoying their beautiful lives. This movie showed me that changes can only take place when you really want to make a change and fight hard for it. It is those who do not give up and who strive for the betterment that see the true meaning of life.

nice story revealing father and son relationship
21 January 2010
Warning: Spoilers
I am very thrilled to see this episode which put our main characters in danger. I wish the solution were not so easy to find though (not easy for us, but a little too straightforward)

"Something is meant to be left alone" I just love this last sentence

Hope the story line will go back to the parallel universe again. Kinda miss that

My current question is that why this issue cannot be discussed with other people. Is there a rule regarding how all this is performed? What if Dr. bishop told the others what really happened? As always, I love Peter. And hope that he will survive whatever comes along.

One final notion is that from the biological perspective, really amazed at how the virus can control human mind

I loved this movie--- so good
26 February 2009
I just finished watching this movie at the UW screening before it is released nationwide. I have to say that I am deeply moved by it despite the fact that some of the Chinese characters are played by Japanese.There are several scenes that are so captivating, leaving my heart filled with excitement, joy and at the same time sorrow. The last few scenes really made this movie stand out. I especially enjoyed the little girl's explanation of what she is doing and how this is reflected in the Buddha in her heart. I believe that the Buddha in everyone's mind might be different from one another. The pursuit of the truth, tranquility and beauty might take different pathways. But what this movie reveals is the eternal power of what a man can achieve and what a man should give up. I strongly recommend this movie to anyone who is interested in some of the concepts conveyed so beautifully and profoundly.

An astonishing echo with WILLIAM BUTLER YEATS' "When You Are Old"
4 January 2009
I was breathless at the second half of the movie when the painful departure among the characters reminded me of the poem I have long recited "When You Are Old When you are old and gray and full of sleep

And nodding by the fire,take down this book,

And slowly read,and dream of the soft look

Your eyes had once,and of their shadows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace,

And loved your beauty with love false or true;

But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,

And loved the sorrows of your changing face;

And bending down beside the glowing bars,

Murmur,a little sadly,how love fled

And paced upon the mountains overhead,

And hid his face amid a crowd of stars." I was also amazed by the cinematography and special effects of some scenes. Overall, although the first half of the movie was a little bit slow, I still give it a 10. This time, I cried again, struck by the fact that love, persistence, forgiveness, tolerance and so many human emotions transcend time and space.When I was out of the movie theater, life again was beautiful thanks to this inspirational movie. I guess that is why I am in love with movies for so many years and the love continues to grow.

A must see movie with so many touching scenes
19 December 2008
I cried so hard through this movie. People around me cried hard as well. A friend of mine had seen the movie three times and every time he cried. I went to the Castro area before. Everything seemed familiar yet far away. The struggling inside is heartfelt. And I have to say that we got a long way to go. One day, when I look back on this movie, I hope that I will smile instead of crying. Growing up as gay is a process that I never felt happy with until recently. This movie struck me hard when the characters display the undying hope for a better future and the consistent fight they had against the power of many other people. History seems to copying its own route and there will be a day when brightness comes upon us all.
