I didn't expect much from this movie when I started watching it & boy o boy was I wrong!! This movie is not tantalising for your eyes or ears but it hits where it matters the most.....your brain! It's captivating, intelligent piece of work. Brilliant story telling with twists that will keep you at the edge.

McKay approaches this adaptation of Michael Lewis' book with wit, energy and a surprising degree of clarity. But if the movie is a crackerjack entertainment, it's one with a conscience. "The Big Short" will affirm your deepest cynicism about Wall Street while simultaneously restoring your faith in Hollywood. In many ways the movie is a startlingly ambitious film, is modest about what it can do. It offers no solutions, and no comfort. The best it can do is put down a marker. A must watch

The film may not always own up to its own political implications, but the girl-power and 90s retro aspects are fun, even when overplayed. The movie portrays a decent origin story & has a couple of clap worthy moments.

It's an out & out a Ranveer Singh movie, there ain't a scene without him. He is funny, dramatic & an action hero all packed in one. The movie is typical 'Rohit Shetty' film, zooming cars, over the top action and some whistle demanding dialogues. Good Bollywood entertainer - little sense and all action! Enjoy

The movie captures the beauty of Kedarnath wonderfully, it's a visual treat. Both lead actors have done justice to their characters. The love story is same old cross religion tangle however has some sweet moments. The tragedy that follows is well shot & the story message is subtly communicated. Yes, the film could have been much more & the story line had a great potential which has not utilised here. Give it a watch

A Quite Place' is an extraordinary piece of work with most important aspect being SILENCE. The film has only 25 lines in dialogues. Actor & Director John Krasinski has built on a interesting & unique premise, Emily Blunt has delivered an excellent performance. Sure there are some scientific errors but hey it's no national geographic channel, it's a work of fiction and needs to be treated that way. It doesn't disappoint on suspense and thriller bit and that's what counts.

Now I do know that there are lots of people who may absolutely love this movie and call it "different", "outstanding", "of a new genre" etc etc. but I beg to differ.

It's a same old twin brother drama of one being smart, outgoing and the other one being straight, innocent, sissy......the story revolves around these brothers, some goons and the corrupted police.....very typical. The actress, Priyanka plays a Maharashtrian girl but nothing about her is Maharashtrian except for her dressing style.

The whole movie has been shot from such close angles that one can hardly figure out who is shooting and who is getting shot. To make matters worst the camera is so shaky that it will give you a feeling of motion sickness and kinda bad headache to deal with.

30 minutes of the movie made me so sick that I wanted to run but I waited for the "Dhan-ta-na" song and repented again. The entire song again was so badly shot that one could hardly understand what's happening. In a 3 minute song, I could see Shahid's face for not more than 3 seconds & that was it for me! I walked out and was greeted by some happy faces outside who apparently had left the movie half way too.....so I guess I was not the only one! So there are those who have completely thought that this is a mind boggling work of Cinema and there ain't no movie like this and there are some like me who agree that there ain't no movie like this but our definition for mind boggling would be "head ache"

Easily my fave movie of this year.

Rock On!! portrays the essence of friendship albeit in a different narration, does call for a round of applause for a theme which might not be so popular in India i.e. Rock.

The story revolves around four friends forming a rock band called Magik with Aditya ( Farhan Akhtar) the lead vocalist and lyricist, Joe ( Arjun Rampal) the guitarist, KD ( Purab Kohli) on the drums and Rob ( Luke Kenny) on the keyboard, out to cut out an album. Somethings go awry and the friends who shared the same passion drift away, each leading their own life.

A decade later, some circumstances bring these four friends together and Magik is in action again to give the most memorable performance ever.The story of course has more to it but you rather watch the movie to learn that.

Director Abhishek Kapoor has captured the fragility of relationships on the celluloid with compelling ease. Farhan Akhtar has emerged as an actor and as a super singer, with no signs of débutant syndrome to be seen in his performance. Arjun Rampal surprises with one of his finest performances till date. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy;s music just rocks.

The movie Rock On has the blended concoction of some outstanding performances, engulfing emotions and topping it is the execution of the entire theme. I have a gut of the film Rock On is going to rock the box-office as well.
