An important movie for Indian caste based society divide
It is a very important movie for India society. It shows mirror to the society, how everyone brushes the real problems under the carpet. Amidst all the great progress in our nation, the caste divide is something which pushes us backward till now in 21st century. Oir social fabric needs a real improvement. I hope movies like this could help us acheive it for the benefit of all.
Kudos to the complete team.
Amu (2005)
A very different yet important angle to the 84 riots
I never knew a movie like Amu was released way back in 2005. This is one of the finest story writing I have seen in Indian cinema complimented with the exceptional direction. This angle of 84 Sikh riots was very different but still is one of the most important one describing the sentiments of the people who have faced it and those who still bear the burden of it in day to day life without being able to do anything.
The story in 2014 is still the same. Communities suffer and the creators of this disturbance roam freely and live freely on the taxpayers money.
A must watch movie for those who like intense and near to real cinema.
Thanks a lot Shonali Bose. Hats off to you.
Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011)
Pyaar ka Puchnama started on a high but couldn't maintain that
The movie has been a unique one if we consider it a bollywood movie. The movie started of really well with some of the stunningly delivered dialogues by Divyendu. He was the most vibrant character in the movie but the same thing vanished in the second part which made the movie too much dull and boring for about 20-30 mins. The way three love stories were portrayed was very much near to reality of Indian mod culture of metro cities.
All the characters were new comers and they gave a fabulous performance and did justice to the role but director could have done better on the second half to give a cutting edge to the story. Apart from the 20 mins of dullness in the second half the rest of the movie will definitely give you many chances of loud laughs.
And, most importantly there is nothing like sex or sex talks kind of a stuff in the movie at all. So, Just go and hit the cinema halls, you will love it.
