22 Jump Street (2014)
Total garbage
How on Earth is this film rated so highly? There's no true wit or intelligence within the script, it's just stupid, lame jokes & a lot of unnecessary swearing which the movie seems to think is funny. I'm not saying swearing doesn't have a place in film, but overusing them to this extent is extremely noticeable & came across as childish.
The story is about as boring and formulaic as they come. First act; they enter college, second act; their relationship is tested, third act; everything works out, happy ending. It's like they didn't even try to be different or original.
Every single character is a one-dimensional stereotype. They never exhibit traits that show any form of depth; they were all so formulaic it felt like all their actions were generated from a computer.
Overall, absolute piece of garbage. If you're American and enjoy flat-out idiotic humor devoid of any wit or intelligence, I recommend it, but otherwise stay away.
Mother 3 (2005)
Outstanding!
Mother 3... What can I say, I am literally speechless. This game is by far the most emotional game ever, it balances humor with sadness and you know what, it works! It's just that magnificent. The storyline is great, the concept is brilliant, there are just too many ways to describe this game, nearly everything about it is good, in my opinion that is. The Musical score also needs a mention, it pushes the Gameboy Advance to it's limit and the results are just so good they make you cry. Speaking of crying, I mentioned this was the most emotional RPG ever, no lies, despite it's humor and first general impression, this game has some of the saddest scenes ever, when they are combines with depressing musical scores, you really might end up crying a bit.
Overall, great game! Even though it's only available in Japan, a Fan Translation was released, go get it now! The game is just amazing in terms of a storyline. 10/10
Bleach: Burîchi (2004)
Overrated and Terrible
I have absolutely no idea why people actually like this Anime, it makes no sense and just watching it makes me feel lame. But wait, hey, I guess I shouldn't be surprised seeing as this Anime truly is packed with nothing but Big Swords, Random Beams which you can't tell how strong they are but hey! They omgs looks cool and none other than horribly developed cliché characters. It just seems like the people who created this are trying to recreate Dragon Ball Z but instead, nab the Giant Sword idea from Final Fantasy 7 and then expect the fanservice to come in. Some actually find this entertaining but for me, I feel like I'm watching something stupid. I recommend you don't watch Bleach, any way I look at it, it's absolutely terrible.
Kôdo Giasu: Hangyaku no Rurûshu (2006)
Very Overrated
OK, seriously, Code Geass is just taking everything that's been done in Anime before... Then does it again... I just don't get how this is actually a popular show, everything about it is boring and cliché, it's like I've already seen all of this a billion times. Personally, I don't recommend it, it's just too fan-boyish and lame, especially the second season, I honestly don't know why the 2nd Season has a better rating than the first either, in my opinion, the second was a lot worse. The story got even more out of hand and the dialog got even stupider than it already is. Well I guess the community of 'Anime' lovers just love to see a tall yet skinny guy conquer the world for a reason that just sounds like an excuse for... Absolutely no reason at all.
1/10
The Departed (2006)
Great
This movie is actually pretty damn good, Jack Nicholson's acting was brilliant, I literally can't get enough of it when he is playing a somewhat 'insane' role in his movies and he did this one amazingly. Leonardo DiCaprio was also great as Billy Costigan. The ending was quite a surprise as well, I won't spoil it but hey, it's nice to see something different compared to everything else. The only drawback to this movie is that I think there was a bit of boring dialog that didn't serve much of a point, but otherwise, entertaining film! Give it a watch.
Overall, I give it a 9/10, some of the best acting I've seen, very memorable scenes, priceless.
