Disappointing
30 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The first two episodes had me invested, by the second I wanted to watch the third to see what the outcome was. Unfortunately the third episode dragged on quite a bit. I see Sheridan got some flack for her performance, but I thought she did the best she could with the script she was given. Now on to the final episode, well, what can I say? I was again disappointed, it was interesting seeing her connecting the dots, but then there was the disappointing ending. Honestly, I can't believe Neighbours was axed for something like this! The supporting characters also did their best, but the majority came across as unlikeable, especially that lady cop who seemed to decide Jenna was guilty before getting her side of the story. Also her work colleagues who showed blatant signs of jealousy, who I thought had something to do with the false allegations at first.

A wonderful performance from Evan Rachel Wood
5 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
As the film goes on you will genuinely start to feel sorry for Evan Rachel Woods character Old Dolio, who is completely devoid of any love from her parents, they treat her more as an accomplice in their various schemes than as a daughter.

Evan Rachel Wood's performance is incredible, she portrayed the character so well that I, myself felt the awkwardness of her character with her throughout the film. Then the film has a happy ending with Old Dolio joining the one person who genuinely seemed to care about her, which was really sweet.

I was genuinely surprised, I wasn't expecting this to be as good as it was.

Another boring Netflix Original
14 June 2022
Honestly I'm going to stop watching Netflix Originals as almost every one I've seen is terrible.

On another note, there wasn't enough Natalia Dyer. She was in it for maybe 10/15 minute, criminal!

"Funny story, I once got paid for sitting around in my pants, and I didn't have to say anything either!"

I wonder if that's a story J.K Simmons will ever tell his grandkids?!

Time travel
15 April 2020
Thought I'd give this a whirl.

After watching it, I wish I could invent a time machine, I'd travel back in time and tell Sophie to never do this movie!

Asa Butterfield's character (the bizarrely named Stillman) wasn't likeable at all, and that accent was laughably bad!

I love the idea of time travel and time travel movies in general, but this was BAD!

I can't believe I wasted an hour and a half watching this!

Just plain bad
18 December 2019
Arrow has got some flack for its bad episodes, but this was worst than all of them put together!

One positive was that the killer frost stuff was cool, Danielle Panabaker is doing an incredible job portraying her alter ego, but her nemesis Amunet was all kinds of bad!

Also considering the show is called The Flash, Barry was treated like a second part in this episode.

Team Arrow
10 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Although I enjoyed this episode it wasn't perfect. It felt like something was missing during the fight scenes, they weren't up to their usual standard.

Team Arrow proved themselves "on the field" which ultimately ended with them back at their rightful place at the bunker. They are much more suited working as a team, it never felt right when they were working directly alongside the SCPC on the streets.

The flash forwards continued to build, and I think there is a lot more to come from them.

Good stuff

Warning: Spoilers
I guess you can't please everyone! But personally I thought this was a good episode, maybe I'm easily pleased!? The court scenes were very good. Laurel finally made the correct decision, but at what cost? Was also good to see Chance back as well aiding Oliver in a bit of deception.

9/10 from this easily pleased viewer!

Carrying on from the last episode
3 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This was a great Diaz-centric episode. It really gave us an incite in to his state of mind, and the reason why he's doing what he's doing.

I'm watching the show via prime so obviously I don't know the outcome and I wouldn't want to, but I'm still think there's more to come from Laurel/Black Siren who seems to be reluctantly going along with Diaz, will she be the key to bringing him down? I guess I'll find out!

The scene on the rooftop is truly one of the most shocking outcomes I've seen on Arrow, it was brutal!!

Initially I didn't rate Diaz as a big bad, but right now, in my opinion he's up there with Deathstroke, Prometheus and all the others.

The best episode this season
3 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Season six hasn't been great, I think it's safe to say that!

Episodes like this is why I continue to watch and hope it will get better, and boy did it!

Oliver got dosed with Vertigo which messed with his head like we've never before, making him seriously doubt himself. This meant one of the best big bads made a return in the form of Prometheus.

The episode was played out so well, I felt like I was there with Oliver when the Vertigo was working it's evil magic.

Initially I thought Diaz was a poor choice for the main antagonist, but with this episode he really stepped up and showed he's a BIG threat to Star City.

Episodes like this are why I love this show. 10/10.

What's going on?
29 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
So the episode started at the end of Oliver & Felicity getting married. What the hell! did I somehow miss an episode, or did they get married in one of the crossover episodes?!

I'd say this is one of the worst episodes of the show, bar a few saving graces.

There was a nice bonding thing between Oliver and Quinten, Rene's speech was heartfelt and Quinten seems to be getting through to Laurel/Black Siren, which can only be a good thing. If he can bring her back to good side it would be great!

On the flip side The team falling out was strange as there was no build up, bar Oliver keeping tabs on them. So Dinah, Rene and Curtis suddenly don't trust him after that one thing?!

It's gone back to episodes not blowing me away, just like the majority of season four.

Disappointing start.
26 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Not much really happened during this episode. We find out all of the team survived, but how? I guess we'll find out how in flashbacks.

Read some of the other reviews and agree that the editing for this episode was poor. At one point I thought Diggle had shot Rene (thankfully he hadn't)

They really need to up security for the bunker, how many times has it been breached now?!

One positive is that Oliver and Slade are back on the same page, whether or not we'll see Slade again I don't know. Another positive is that Laurel/Black Siren is back as a series regular.

Dinah however, has yet to convince me that she's worthy of being the new Black Canary.

Here's hoping season six gets better.

Best episode ever!
19 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was hands down the best episode of Arrow I've seen so far. I instantly had to come on here and give it a 10!

All the big bads were back! Laurel was back! Moira was back! Even Robert.

So Oliver, Thea, Diggle, Sara and Ray were put in an alternate reality by aliens, they eventually figured out their reality wasn't real through a series of glitches.

Others may not have noticed, but I liked how the alternate reality versions of Felicity, Laurel and Moira didn't quite look right. One thing I noticed was that the alternate reality Felicity that her hair wasn't quite as tidy as the "real" worlds Felicity. Even Laurel looked different (But Maybe it was just me!)

The only thing that disappointed me was that Deathstroke (in a speaking part, at least) and Tommy Merlyn didn't make cameos.

In conclusion, this episode is about as perfect as you can get.

An end to season four
16 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I think it's safe to say season four was poor.

But, t was always going to be hard to top seasons two and three which had me on the edge of my seat. Most of the episodes in Season three in particular really played with my emotions, I can only think of one that did in season four.

This was the worst season finale (so far, I'm still on catch up!) reading through other reviews I can see people slating the fight scenes, I have to agree. It was clear to see that there is minimal contact during them.

Killing Laurel was madness, the whole Darkh plot dragged, Malcom Merlyn couldn't make his mind up on who's side he was on half the time.

Finally, I understand this review isn't about the season finale, but season four as a whole and I apologise for that.

Here's hoping season five is an improvement.

Better.
15 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Looking through the reviews after this episode I can see it's getting trashed. Personally I actually thought the episode was one of the better ones of this season. It was always going to be hard to top episodes from seasons two and three as they were so good.

Also I see the Olicity relationship isn't popular with a lot of reviewers, many saying it isn't what Arrow is about. Maybe it's because I haven't read the comics myself, but I don't think the Oliver/Felicity relationship ruins the series.

Feel free to call me a olicity fanboy if you want to, but I actually love the interaction between them, and hope they eventually get back together!!

(I'm currently watching the series on Amazon Prime, so have no idea if they do get back together)

On to Laurel/Black Canary. I'm as pissed off as anyone that she's been killed, but I have to hope that somehow she'll be back.

A fluster cluck episode
9 September 2019
You know what, I thought an episode from a TV show called Arrow would actually be about The Arrow. But during this episode the arrow cast are treated like a second thought on their OWN tv show. I spent the majority of the episode wondering what on earth was going on, but kept watching Incase I missed something important to the Arrow plot. You could probably skip this episode and not really miss anything paramount to the regular show.

This show continues to blow me away, almost every episode has me on the edge of my seat, this episode is one of those. The acting is superb from everyone, I don't want to sound like a girl, but Oliver and Felicity finally got it together....... only to be pulled apart again! I'm now excited for the last three episodes.

If you're expecting a lot of gratuitous nudity then you will be disappointed. All very tastefully done. Occasionally you get a bare bottom, but that's about it.

Shockingly bad
8 February 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The trailer looked good, so thought I'd give this a watch.

Really wish I hadn't, one, if not the worst films I've ever watched. The best thing I could say about it is that the mom has a nice bum!!!

Decided to watch until the end and I was disappointed, a lot of unanswered questions.

A real WTF ending. If I could give this a zero I would. Netflix should be ashamed they commissioned this, and the people who made this film should be banned from ever making any more.

Disappointing
7 May 2009
Warning: Spoilers
I got this movie hoping it would be as good as the original, how wrong was I?

The premise of The Butterfly Effect 2, that one's mind can schizophrenically create its own set of realities as a defence mechanism against painful memories, this remains the same as in the original movie, though the circumstances for the split differ. In this case, the lead character Nick (Eric Lively) take his girlfriend Julie, and their two best friends, Trevor & Amanda out camping, where upon their return home, they are crushed to death by a big rig, after Nick loses control of his car. Nick survives but is plagued by migraine-like seizures that induce in him fantasies starring his friends, during which he's promoted to Vice President at his place of employment, rather than being fired for his incompetence. Subplots get less and less tangible, as his fantasies turn to nightmares, and Nick experiences his deceased friends' deaths repeatedly and from various invented causes.

So basically I was disappointed with this offering, don't go out and buy it if your expecting it to be anything like the original movie, because its not.
