Saint Sinner (2002)
good movie
usually i do not bother to write reviews but i am writing this since its is astonishing that this movie has such a low rating. it definitely deserves at least a 7 on an average. PLEASE Don't GO FOR THE LOW RAITNGS. IT IS A MUCH MUCH BETTER MOVIE! i cant call it is the best movie i have ever seen but these low ratings are terribly misleading. i wonder how come this movie has such a low rating! it is a well made movie and if you like horror movies u are likely to enjoy it. i am damn sure that it deserves a better rating.
it is not boring for even a moment.
the story goes so fast and sustains your curiosity every scene. give it a try, and the low ratings are misleading.
its not as bad as you might think. it is a very enjoyable movie. it appears to be a very different type of story.
it does not have the pomp of a big budget movie. day before yesterday i watched it in wb movies and unfortunately missed the last 3 mins or so. waiting for a re telecast so that i can catch it.
Passenger (2009)
don't miss this
Film lovers, do not miss this one. Its a Hollywood style MalayalaM film!
Excellent movie. If you are in the look out of an unexpectedly different kind of Malayalam movie, go for this. No songs and no no to clichés. Very fast and not boring for a moment.
The director once again proves that the heart and soul of the movie is its story and screenplay, let me not forget the talented artists who breath life into the characters.
An attempt to be highly appreciated.
More movies like this should come from MalayalaM filmdom.
Manjadikuru (2008)
Amazing Red Seeds
I am one of those lucky people who got the opportunity to watch the premier of Manjadikuru. I got into the theater with a lot of mixed feelings and anticipation about the film: the sweet little attractive name, a Malayalam film made by a woman, my favourite actors.... Everything urged me to watch this movie and it was undoubtedly one of the best gifts I gave myself.
The movie tells the delighting story of the ten year old Vicky, who comes back to his maternal home from Gulf for very few days and his vivid experiences in his homeland. He discovers the new worlds of friendship with funny Kannan, cute Manikutti and the innocent tamil servant-girl Roja. The stark contrast between the clear untainted world of children and the hypocritical & mean ways of adults brings about a beautiful evolution of the story. The director's eye for every detail is very much visible and every scene looks carefully carved. The brilliant direction supported by a smartly woven screenplay, spectacular cinematography (some frames look like paintings) and excellent performance by the actors, especially the kids, launch the movie straight in to the heart of the audience.
This inspiring movie, a marvelous gift for any film lover, an incredible directorial debut from Anjali Menon, is the one that I will watch many more times. The movie will definitely be received with great enthusiasm, both nationally and internationally.
