A movie way ahead of it's time
12 February 2022
This movie is not for the masses. Not everyone would appreciate it. Or understand it. But for me it was a brilliant refreshing movie. From start to finish I had my eyes glued as this movie meanders through some complex web of complicated relationships. As far as acting goes, every actor nails their respective roles, but have to mention Deepika and Sids acting. They were phenomenal. The way this movie evaluates a human psyche, it's difficult to do, but the ease with which it does, can't stop but admire it. An impactful movie. I feel happy to see something so brilliant churned out of Bollywood in a while.

Bad is an understatement

A flawed script, horrible acting, lacklustre screenplay. It's more of a comedy movie than a thriller. What was that ending, it was such a stupid twist. The characters don't grow on you. The original is a million times better than this yawnfest. I like pareeniti and always thought why isn't she doing more films. But after this, I realized she was better off, off the screen.

A light hearted show
19 June 2021
Swara is not so popular because of her political views. And that's why we see the lower approval. However if we strictly look at this show it's not bad. The acting is good, the story is decent. It's a light hearted show which you would like to see. Definitely worth a watch. Few jokes are funny few are not, at some places it does feel stretched, but what's good is that you never get bored. Apart from Swara I really liked Ravi Patel.

If you aren't running any agenda in your mind then this is a good series to sit and enjoy while sipping on your favourite drink.

From binge to yawn fest
19 June 2021
A series which started off with a lot of promise turn in to a complete yawn fest. Right in the middle of the season the main premise is resolved. Me and my wife were wondering now what. Are we in for a major twist. Nope it's a drag. A painful yawn fest . I have completed 2 episodes after the mid season and I have had enough and don't think have the patience to complete the season. Talking about acting, so only Mohit Rana is good to watch. Dia Mirza can't act. She is horrible. When she cries you will either laugh on her or cry on yourself to be watching it. Even the kanoon ki murti behind the judge in the courtroom has acted better than Dia. Overall a boring series, complete waste of time and can be skipped.

A remake shouldn't mean copy paste
9 March 2019
When you watch a remake of an outstanding movie with some mind-blowing twist in the end and some amazing cinematography and acting, you already have your expectations at the next level. To be really fair, I was awestruck after watching "An invisible guest" and the effect it left after, but I still watched Badla with a neutral mind and gave it a genuine try. But at the end, I felt I just saw a translated version of it's original. It's a screen by screen copy paste along with 90 percent of the dialogues. The only change was the gender. Come on Ghosh ji, use some of your creativity. Why would you just remake the movie exactly the same. Remake doesn't mean copy paste. For instance, look at Don. That's a fab remake, it not only gave justice to it's predecessor but also took it to a different level. For those of you who liked Badla, just watch it's original and you will understand my super disappointment.
