Waking Life (2001)
you will never see anything like it!
I absolutely loved everything about this film, great music and an amazing animation technique that couldn't be more appropriate for the screenplay; which obviously isn't for everyone, I understand how some people may call it pseudo-intellectual, or even pretentious, because maybe difficult language and deep thinking isn't for you. People who would rather have action, or nudity-packed movies, please stay away from it. All that "boring nonsense" was actually able to make me, and a dozen of people more, realize amazing stuff about all kinds of issues, from science to philosophy, dream and death.... It gets even better every time I watch it,definitely a masterpiece that will transcend on the minds that really deserve it; Thumbs up for Linklater.
The Million Dollar Hotel (2000)
Not only because I'm a U2 fan, this movie is really good
I really really liked it, it's sweet, and makes you realize important things about life, because although the plot is not really complicated, the context and the characters are very deep and very well done. I recommend it, and the sondtrack...ahh...Don't miss it! even if you don't like u2 that much.Great filmmaking.
Como el gato y el ratón (2002)
Nice work, except for the constant reference to sponsors
You have to be used to Colombian movie style to enjoy this one, and understand basic facts and behaviors that make the whole point in this film. It wasn´t a complete waste of money, and I could say I'm even proud of the quality of this very Colombian plot, and the ending didn't dissapoint me at all;I would also like to make note of the great perfomance of Julio Escallón (Albino).
