I didn't know what to expect from this TV special, but I knew that if Jim Henson was involved, we were really in for something truly special. Originally produced as a special for HBO in 1977, the story and songs have gained a life outside of that original broadcast. With the special's 50th anniversary approaching, I'm hoping that it can be released on home media in its uncut form with a special appearance from Kermit The Frog (Jim Henson).
With the various songs written by Paul Williams, the one that truly stands out is "When The River Meets The Sea," which some could consider an early draft of "The Rainbow Connection." It is a must-see for fans of both Jim Henson and the Muppets.
