The Flash (I) (2023)
9/10
WOW...very emotional
18 August 2023
I watched The Flash in IMAX and it was nice. This resulted in bright images, especially the galaxy, projected by dual projectors on the giant 42 feet high, 65 feet wide screen of IMAX, completely using the whole screen with a slight chopping of the picture. The images are larger than life. Although they don't confuse the eye but I am still having a strain. Along with 12,000 Watts IMAX proprietary sound system that was used very well for the sound editing!

It had a lot of moments. Michael Keaton stole the show. I loved his scene at the end. Needs to improve the time space visuals, though!

Would like to see a sequel.

The animation dazzles...a must for all Ninento fans!
11 April 2023
Disney Animation has a habit of criticizing other animation production houses. Since Disney acquired Marvel, DC extended Universe has been panned in the past and now other production houses like Warner Bros. Animation and Universal Pictures are being overlooked. I would like to everyone to check the reception on Rotten tomatoes - the reviews are divided - 57/96% RT. I know it is not Oscar worthy but it is a visual treat to the eyes!

I don't understand why there is a huge criticism on the voice-acting for Mario and Luigi. Jack Black was exceptional but the others also did a good job. In fact, it almost brought me tears to my eyes as I was growing up with Super Mario and also playing Mario Kart Wii with my nephews. It is everything you want from an animated Super Mario game! Sequel, please?

View the movie in a theatre (red pill) or wait for the Blu-ray (blue pill). No one is forcing you - the choice is yours!
7 January 2022
The start of this movie is still reasonably promising. The first half hour seemed to be a good start to something special. There's also a couple of reasonably good action scenes. The main one, a bike chase through the streets of San Francisco is really well done.

I liked the new characters and having watched the TV series "Sense8", it's nice for so much of that cast to get another chance to appear for director Wachowski. Keanu Reeves gives an incredible lead performance with plenty of charm and is once again able to anchor the film's more surreal and pretentious moments. He is still the man and looks dashing with his beard and his acting skills are really good. Carrie-Anne Moss is great and has strong chemistry with Keanu Reaves. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is effortlessly cool and Jessica Henwick gives the best performance out of the new characters.

The pitfall is that you will struggle to figure out what is real and what is fantasy There is enough fast paced action to not fall asleep. Oops, my friend did fall asleep anyway!

Finally, a Marvel movie that isn't media-hyped!
22 December 2021
A moment to rejoice! After a long time the critics are totally in sync with me. Yesterday, I found something refreshing. And the crowd was amazing and felt like before the COVID pandemic. This is one of the best Spider-man movies ever made!

I couldn't watch Far From Home in IMAX but still it was nice. Thanks to Disney, the bright images, especially when you see Dr. Strange scenes (no spoilers!), completely uses the whole screen with a little of chopping the picture. The images are larger than life, but they don't confuse the eye or strain the vision of the audience. Being able to pull it off with extraordinarily daring stunt work - augmented by gritty CGI and sentiments is simply awe-inspiring!

It may have taken almost 20 years, 9 movies, 3 different lead actors, 2 reboots but Spidey has finally shown redemption. This new trilogy places emotions without unnecessary drama and brings new dimensions. This time it has a string of sentiments sizzling its screenplay. Finally you see real drama, just like Nolan showed us in the Dark Knight Trilogy!

Spiderman is not just a teenage boy but can Strange convince him or not? In the trailer, he mentions "everyone will forget you are Peter Parker!" The question is: Can Spider-man carry his own weight in the near future without the Avengers? The best villain Doc Oct finally arrives. I don't want to spoil the fun, so enjoy watching the movie!

My significant digit score: 8.2/10.

Visuals compensate for the lack of script depth
7 September 2021
One again the studio brings jokes and the dazzling visuals over a good character development. After one hour, you don't care for the characters. Dysfunctional drama in the family and the chosen one - we have seen this a million times.

This is the first time I felt sleepy for an action movie. I feel like i wasted my money, despite availing the Super Tuesday offer. The Suicide Squad was far much better in terms of storyboard.

Over-rated, like Black Panther What's next - Shang-Chi: Origins?

Guarantee that you won't fall asleep!
25 August 2021
That director-writer George Miller-Richard Wenk and his team concocted such ferocious set pieces is impressive enough, but being able to pull it off with extraordinarily daring stunt work - augmented by gritty CGI - is simply awe-inspiring. Maggie Q is savage as Anna. Nice way to bring on Micheal Keaton on board. Visually, it is vivid and spectacular!

Wenk, who wrote the script for The Equalizer and The Expendables 2, seems to have add weightage to the script. This seems the only weakness in this movie. The character development is thin, which is why the IMDb score is 6.6/10. My rating is 7.5, but to balance it out, I will give it an eight.

Why does this episode deserve an 8?
19 June 2020
There is not anything new to view. The team-up drama is deja vu and way too predictable. Seems more like a Power Puff team. Beth need to be more mature and Rick less. This seems more of a filler episode. Could have been better. The first three episodes were great. I hope it doesn't go downhill from here.

What is inside the book?

Great to see how Batwoman has strengths and weaknesses. A good twist in the end. Sometimes I wonder how Batwoman uses her grapple gizmo without aiming properly (to some object) that even would make James Bond laugh!

Never hire a woman director.
22 April 2020
First of all, after a one month break, welcome back Flash fans! There is a trend going on- Grodd, then Kid Flash, then Harrison Wells and now Rag Doll. Seems that the writers are out of ideas and simply reverting back to the previous seasons.

There wasn't proper screen time for Mr. Rag Doll in S05E05 so maybe the writers/director tried to re-invent his character. The effects were cool and creepy also.

The writers also need to respect the audience's I.Q. level. How can a normal person bear the pain of a bullet? Also, jump out of a vehicle that is running at 120 miles per hour?

Sadly, I am losing interest and now everything feels forced, except for the dialogue between Barry and Joe. I hope this doesn't turn out to be the next Arrow. If so, then it is better to end it with Season 6 instead of creating superficial arcs.

Time to bring in Tom Canavagh for the director's seat.

What a surprise...The best of this Season!
17 March 2020
I keep wondering is the audience really interested in Batwoman or are they degrading DC deliberately? I think people should watch this episode and then rate it!

In this episode, we really get to see the darker side of Kate and Beth. This time it involves every family member. The twist at the end also surprised me. I don't want to spoil it!

This time - no LGBT, no costumes. It is a simple non-linear storyline. I am anticipating something better for the next episode. If the mass production viewers aren't satisfied with this episode, they should stop watching this series. Period.

I would like to advise female haters to stop watching this TV series. If the antagonist would have been a male, it would have recieved a 8.8 average score. The writers have used Crisis themes nicely. I hope that there aren't any fillers in the upcoming episodes!

...and even Hitman, when it comes to video adaptions. The movie is predictable a but also entertaining. The third act is pretty predictable by the way. Despite all that, the movie did its job. Everyone in my theater was entertain. Jim carrey always make you laugh, and this movie is no different.

Not the typical forced feminism movie!
18 February 2020
This is much better than the boring Suicide Squad. The characters and cinematography are colorful. Margot Robbie gave a phenomenal performance as Quinn, and the side characters played second fiddle. People are expecting a frame-to-frame comic adaption, which is not possible. We have seen it in Marvel comics also. The only issue was the unnecessary R rating. That is where the director messed it up. Could have gone with PG-13 and rake more money! It is true that they have shown men as bad, but this is what we get when the Joker is bad, right?

15 February 2020
Way too many concert performances. It needs to be cut down, seriously.Rudolph and Wiig were unbearable to watch! Joaquin Phoenix's speech was the saving grace. The reference to his late brother at the end was nice! US is avoiding China and embracing South Korea- a welcome change! German Willmijn Verkaik was a nice introduction to promote more diversity. Diversity now shining!

Marvel fans, kindly watch Daredevil instead!
7 December 2019
Seriously, there are pros in this episode along with the cons. Potentially, this is getting stonger after each episode. Why the agressive backlash? I mean the acting and script is fine. We get to see the real Alice.

You can't compare this with Daredevil. And not every episode of Daredevil was perfect. It had its flaws too. If the mass production doesn't like Batwoman, they should not be biased against DC by giving bad ratings!

I wish they would stop the non linear narrative! Two steps forward and then one step backwards. And then some lame writing in the finale. This season had a lot of potential but almost wasted it! Raven's power seemed generic and exaggerated. I hope we see Deathstroke in S3!

Warning: Spoilers
We had Bruce dancing 🕺in one of Dick's hullicinations in the 'Bruce Wayne' episode. But this time, it seems the director had got it right. I presume that it was the real Bruce when he was Dawn, Donna, Rachel and Starfire 🌟. Who knows?

Finally, we get to know that Rose is messing up with Jason's mind in order to create chaos. The only letdown was killing a scientist, which seemed an unnecessary evil.

I hope they add episode 13 and don't mess it up like the writers previously did in Season 1!

Is it me or the critics v audience RT ratings? Or the forced feminism?
7 November 2019
After watching this movie, I was surprised to see a RT 71% based on a total count of 272 critics and an 84% audience score based on 7,442 counts. If the whole universe is appreciating it, why is it considered to be the next flop, and no one seems interested in paying for this flick?

I think it is the same critics of Deadpool that were paid off to generate some hype. The script had no character development. Even Genisys was far better than this soft sequel. I know T:G has an IMDB rating of 6.4 but at least China managed to save it from being a box office flop. Who is going to save T:DF? It has a rating of 6.5 and I think it will drop to 6 by the time it has ended its run. Not even the magic combo of Cameron, Schwarzenegger and Hamilton will save it from being 'terminated'!

Get ready for the future...because there is going to be a sequel...I won't be back...even this would make Robert Patrick laugh!

I have mixed feelings for this episode!
2 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Slade infoms Dick with pride that he won and Dick is now alone. Loneliness tends to play tricks on the mind. Believe it, I have experinced this emotion as it is very complex but beating & bashing cops was way too silly by the writers.

The only bonding that seemed logical was between Connor and Gar. The rest of the gang parts ways after learning the ugly truth and you can predict that this scene was going to come sooner or later.

Titans fall. I think of some tragedy in the upcoming episodes and Superboy will unite the rest of the team members

My rating for this episode: 7/10 Season 1: 60/8 = 7.5 Season 2: 64.5/8 = 7.17

Another filler episode
31 October 2019
Only the last 6 minutes was great, especially the acting, otherwise this episode felt like a feather. We all know what are Ramsey's motives. Sadly, I am losing interest and now everything feels forced, except for the dialogue between Barry and Joe. I hope this doesn't turn out to be the next Arrow. If so, then it is better to end it with Season 6 instead of creating superficial arcs.

A rushed-villain and too much lovey-dovey!
29 October 2019
I think the series is being rushed and not taking their time. Why the hurry? I don't think they will put 22 episodes just like The Flash and Arrow. The writers should give out the mystery elements too much otherwise we are going to see a lot of filler episodes.

Pros- Batwoman using her utility belt. Scientific points were used and of course Fox as her advisor.

Cons- The love scene was little longer than expected. The villain didn't had a purpose. In fact, I don't think anyone will remember!

21 October 2019
Those who watch the episode trailer will not like it that much. Elliot's role hasn't been justified as it should have and which is why this episode is more than a filler. Still we get to know more about the supporting cast.

I hope WB will reduce the number of episodes for S6!
16 October 2019
I have noticed that a new time has come out- anti-matter! Why this concept didn't came up in the initial seasons? The writers seems to use the affection we have seen before! Acting was nice but it seems like déjà vu all again! Caitlyn's role which was nice in the opening episode seemed very immature. There seems an improvement in the dialogues and the delivery seems more impressive. MyFlash Ratings: Season 1: 200/23= 8.69; Season 2: 193/23= 8.23; Season 3: 188/23= 8.17; Season 4: 146/23= 6.65; Season 5: 158/22= 7.18; Season 6: 13.5/2 = 6.75 This episode=7/10

Is the hate coming from Marvel men?
10 October 2019
Usually, I don't like 'Pilot' episodes but this one was the best after The Flash. I think the audience didn't watch the show and just made up some of the worst reviews like poor acting, generic CGI, etc. which seems sarcasm at the highest level. I would like to mention that I had some issues in the past. For example, watching Bumblebee which focused on the girl Charlie Watson and GoT (S08E03) which focused on Arya Stark as the only salvation. But this is - Batwoman - and the focus will definitely be on her. Yes, I think the lovey-dovey scenes went a little too long but I think this series has the potential for the mass production to enjoy and not let then think about forced-feminist issues.
