That the hardness of it helps you to understand a glimpse of the terrible events, the film is divided in three parts the march, the testimonial, the lines of action due to solve these genocide that had stained the Mexican history, other works try to convey Hecho en Juárez seeks to deliver the substantial parts of the life in this part of the frontier, of the constant fear, of the never ending tragic warning that by now had been spread toward Mexico
Figuras de la Pasión (1984)
A film about the forgotten
The first tape to film picture ever made tells the tale of the forgotten, the dead and the ones who had been banned in every aspect of the Mexican history. This fairy type of movie is divided in episodes (Figuras) that are settle either on a jail or an play, in this surrealistic film we are immerse in a Dogville type of stage were the combination of Poetry, testaments and political discourse of the mix of characters of the daily basis and religious figures such as Judas, the virgin, the labor workers, homosexuals, drag queens. Ss really impossible to understand the immensity of the themes that are combine with such majesty and care. The most outstanding thing in this film is the photograph as we see a very crafted and thoughtful skill technique even with the poor equipment of the time. He (Corkidhi) as one of the best photographers of all time achieves something that nowadays nobody can, as one of the most important visual and video artist seems that with this experiment he was at the top of his line. Ironically 'Figuras de la passion' has been banned for several years as a product of the attack and angriness of right winged parties and scholars.
Now almost 20 years later we see a poorly copy of technique and themes of many Mexican directors such as Ripstein, Hermosillo
This is one of the best Mexican Pictures ever made and once again released by a master Corkidhi (0-10) 10
